Great shoes
I wear these every day at work. Very comfortable. Water proofing is good. Light weight. Holding up to dirt and mud so far. I would purchase again.

Comfy shoes.
This may be one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had in my entire life. I have about eight sets of Merrill shoes. Merrill’s are very supportive and they wear well.. but some of them are tight across the top of your foot. this one is so comfortable sometimes I forget to take them off when I come home.

Attractive and has an already broken-in feel!
I purchased these hiking boots on sale at half price after Thanksgiving. The boots have good-looking soft leather making them feel already broken-in. They are very light, provide excellent grip due to their tread design, and are relatively comfortable. My only suggestion is that they improve the insoles to provide a little more cushion. Also, I probably could’ve used a size 12 wide because this boot feels as if it runs a little narrow. All in all it’s a good boot if you can get it on sale.

Very comfortable well-made boot.
This boot fits great and has a good grip. My main concerns were the boot being too hot and the outsole wearing out too quickly. It's impossible to find an all-leather upper boot without a waterproof liner built in, and I was worried that such a boot would be too hot for southern Arizona, but I need the leather upper for protection from cactus, rocks and snakes. This boot has been great year round. No overheating problems. The last pair of boots I bought (for $70.) had outsoles that were completely smooth after about 6 months, so they didn't provide adequate grip on the rocky canyon trails I hike. These boots after almost a year still have about 60% of their tread left so hopefully they'll go another 6-12 months. The Vibram name on the sole was a big selling point for me. I'm very happy with these boots.

Great shoes!
They fit as expected and have great arch support. Merrell is a great company and has wonderful shoes!

Nice boot but...
This is a nice boot but upon seeing the reviews, there seem to be quality problems and people were also getting wet feet despite the claim that it is waterproof. Upon looking at the boot, there are no bellows for the tongue so water, insects and sand can get right in. I also stepped on a dog chew bone and I could easily feel it inside the boot so the sole of the boot could use something like New Balance's "rock stop" layer. Aside of that, their sizing fit me perfectly, I really liked the look and they were very comfortable compared to many others. I really wanted to keep this boot but I don't want to get stuck for days with wet feet or getting poke in the feet with sticks, etc. If Merrell can fix these things, I will definitely buy them.

Construction and wear
Was looking for a new hiking shoe. My previous experience with Merrill shoes has been positive. Well constructed and long lasting. Fit is very good. I expect long life from these shoes.
