Kastking has been doing a great job with the rod and reel line and this is another amazing product. The reel works smooth and the rod is reliable, plus it comes with a 2nd tip in case the 1st one gets damaged. I'm looking forward to using my setup for ned rigs for small mouth.

This KastKing rod and reel combo just the ticket for my fishing needs. It’s light, sturdy, and just what I need to have a good day on the lake or pond. I’m impressed with the quality of the product and the fact you get an extra tip so that you’re fishing trip isn’t over if you have an accident and it breaks. The action on the reel is smooth and overall the design is great.

It's enough to drive you crazy. First time casting and it became a knotted mess. It was so bad I had to wait to get home to cut it all out. Thoroughly disappointed in the casting reel. I do like their spinning reel which worked well, so it's not a total loss. I'll have to give it another try.Update: Customer Service reached out over my issue with the casting reel. Without hesitation they sent a replacement reel. This kind of response if few and far between these days. Thank you Mary at KastKing.

Arrived in great condition. Rod is in a heavy duty tube and casting reel was in its box. They are taped together so they aren’t smacking into eachother. Super lightweight combo. Feels great in your hands. I haven’t hooked anything too big yet but it’s held up fine so far. It does come with 2 tips. Kastking has done me well on all my other poles so I’ll continue to buy their brand.

This is a fantastic rod and reel setup for those of us that are looking for a good value for our money. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to do some pond or river fishing for bass, trout or catfish.

I decided to give this rod and reel combo a try because the seller smartly included an extra rod tip. I can’t tell you how many rod and reel combos I own that have broken tips, that I hang onto with good intentions. It is inevitable that the weakest point of the rod can break at any time, and I think it’s great that this kit came with an extra tip.

I got the 6'6" casting combo... I've always preferred that length for ease of transport. That said, this is a 2pc rod so any length can be easily transported. Like my other Kastking 2pc rods the connection between the two blanks is solid. One suggestion I have is for the tip sections to get some kind of branding/labeling. As I add more 2pc rods to my collection, this will help keep the tips from getting mixed up. Just a convenience thing.Combo feels good in the hand and well-balanced. The reel isn't as low profiled as my more expensive reels but it does have a lower profile when compared to my other reels in the same price range. Love the felt knobs and the dial-style braking system on the reel.I expect this rod to last me awhile like my other KK rods. I have no hesitation recommending their stuff to my buddies.

Had this rod about 2 weeks now and I've snagged many pan fish but also landed myself a few tank bass as well. Cast and real action is very smooth and I would recommend this rod to anyone. I have many Kastkings products and will no buy anything else.
