I agree completely with this review in 2019 (quoted next); it's exactly what I would have said. They've been great bags, so I will buy again, based on real-life comments that they degrade fast. ---"I was concerned when they arrived because they had zero packaging. Great for the environment, but makes the savvy consumer suspicious. There was not even a note about biodegradable certification, manufacturer, etc. So I'm concerned that they're not truly biodegradable. However, others' comments here indicate hands-on experience with the bags degrading quickly . . . . . Other than that, I find them quite sturdy for a week of cat litterbox cleaning. Note that a manufacturer answer here that they are BPI-certified was slapped down by someone else."

Love that these bags are eco friendly knowing they will breakdown. They are not plastic so if that is what you are expecting don’t get these. The bags are good for trash only. I use my in the kitchen I also have larger bags I use for the kitchen too. Will continue to reorder. Thank you for thinking of our environment.

I use these bags in my composting toilet. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because they do decompose so quickly that I have to double the bags.

These are awful. They are so thin that even the lid of the compost shreds the top. I put a 2 gallon bag into this one and it felt right through - how is it supposed to hold five gallons if I can’t even manage two? I have great strength 2-gallon bags, so I know it is possible to have great strength compostable bags, these are just awful. I paid $16.55 for 100 of these awful bags, vs $8.95 for 100 for my super durable 2-gallon ones. NEVER AGAIN. Would love a refund for this junk!! At least I can compost them.

I purchased these bags to line my 3.5 gallon compost bucket. While they fit well, they are extremely thin and tear easily when holding food, flower stems and wet coffee grounds for multiple days. I would not recomend these as compost bucket liners. There are other products that are compostable but more durable.
