A Queen This Fierce and Deadly: The explosive final instalment in the enchanting slow burn romantasy series (Kingdom of Lies Book 4)

After eagerly awaiting the release for what felt like an age, I have to confess that I was nervous and scared to open to the first page. The previous book ended on a major cliffhanger which left readers feeling uncertain as to whether Lorian was dead, whether Prisca would be able to reverse time to bring him back or be sent on an adventure for answers to save him.In the first chapter, we learn that Prisca reverses time (seemingly against her mother and grandmother's advice) to bring back Lorian. This leaves her stuck in a long sleep and appearing as though her magic may have disappeared. Early on, she wakes up on her own and the fight with Regner's forces continue. The stakes continue to get higher and higher as the book progresses, with Prisca, Lorian and Co trying to make plans to save everyone from Regner.There was a run of about 150 pages in the middle where, aside from Prisca and Lorian's wedding, it felt like nothing happened. The story didn't really progress and the frequent POV changes often felt unnecessary or to slow the plot. I'd actually have preferred no chapters from the queen's POV as I found her self-obsessed and boring! (My opinion on her didn't change AT ALL btw). However, I actually progressed rapidly through the final 150 pages as the plot picked up and I felt myself more pulled in to the story. Overall, it was a good read but I wasn't quite as hooked I was on the previous 3, but maybe my expectations were far too high! I also realise that there had to be plenty of build up to reach the final events. All in all, I enjoyed it and I would recommend to others!

This was a tense and suspense final instalment of this wonderful series. I enjoyed the multi view chapters but I think it would have been better if the storylines of a few of the other characters had been more developed.An enjoyable final chapter from a great series!.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

After the devastating ending of book 3, readers of this series finally get an answer to their theories of what happens next. Yes I did think it might have happened the way it did but Stacia Stark could have quite easily had us waiting for another few chapters before we knew for sure. It's soon back to the reality of the war they are fighting for all of our remaining hero's, and danger and treachery follow on their heels. It's a rollercoaster of hope and tragedy, love and sorrow and even some surprising twists and turns.

5 stars was needed. It was a fantastic end to this great series. I was hooked from start to finish. With alot of books, i tended to skip a few pages if i felt it was lagging in pace. Not once did i do this. Amazing story telling by Stacia Stark.I now have a book hangover. What am I supposed to read now to top this?

This book had all the emotions in me come to the surface. I cried, laughed, felt horror, shock, happiness. Everything!! I am so sad this story is finished but it really was a masterpiece.

Brilliant, well written, action packed. Main and secondary characters well developed. I had to wait for each book to come out separately, can only imagine how incredible it would be to read them all in the row...

Waited so long for this book. I was glad for the turn of events, though sad there was a lot of war that took up most of the book. Nonetheless, the ending was a silver lining.

Prisca and Lorian are hands-down one of my favorite book couples! The characters are all so well-developed, and I fell in love with so many of them. Even the villains are so well-written, especially with the POV of the Queen, that you truly loathe them.I thought that the pacing was great, and kept me sucked in the entire book. The battle scenes are amazing, and you get to experience them through different POV's which made them that much more gripping. The world-building is solid, and the spice is STEAMY. This book made me FEEL so much! Anger, sorrow, fear, joy, pride, anxiety, despair, hope, love. I loved that it left an opening for possible future books about side characters! Absolutely brilliant & epic conclusion to an amazing story!

i've been waiting for this book since January (2024) and it was So Worth The Wait!!!!!!i took me 3 days to read( i was savoring it) i felt all the emotions really, from edge of my seat, loving the love, the sad(tear up a bit), hating some characters couldn't help it!I'm not one to go back and read a book again in such a small period of time but i just might read the other 3 books again soon.i Absolutely Love this book i'll miss the characters, i enjoyed their world and i appreciate it that the whole series didn't just evolve around Prisca and Lorian it gave more depth to the story.it was an easy read, entertaining i recommend it for sureHappy Reading!!!

Ok ok ok so I binged these books over the past 4-5 days because I knew the last one of the series was coming out and I refuse to read unfinished series… and WHAT A JOURNEY!I was hooked the entire time ! The books are lengthy.. but they didn’t feel that way at all! I was surprising myself how fast I was flying through them and not once did I feel bored (which tends to happen often with longer books). Loved all the characters and the plot development - it was perfect!I feel so satisfied and happy! That ending was the most wholesome thing and the sweetest way to wrap up this story♥️

If only I could turn back time and read this book for first time again and again and again. From the very first pages you are taken on a rollercoaster of suspense and emotion. Whether it's witnessing a grieving mother lamenting over a fallen child in a rebel battle, sailing through Gromalia waters or running for your life through a palace, or a forest, you will be captive to Stacia's storytelling.After a soul-shattering, heart wrenching cliffhanger at the end of book 3, we join our beloved characters on a journey to find all the pieces and bring them together again in one epic finale. Complementing war and loss with celebration, tears of both sorrow and joy will be flowing throughout the book. And despite the war being fought on all fronts, there is room for wit, humour, love and laughter throughout.This is also a story of choice and how the choices we make can define us, break us or even save us. It's a tale of hope and how even the smallest glimmer of hope can defy the odds. Whatever nuance you find within the pages you will be captivated right until the very last word.And as for the spice, its not just the war thats kicked it up a notch. Although there is less time for it, I mean they are fighting a war, our characters have certainly become more creative.

The kingdom of lies series is completed! 5🌟 overall series, I loved every book! A true Romantasy with solid world building, intriguing plot and lore, and the romance is 🤌. This series is action packed and all the previous books end on cliffhangers but you won't want to stop reading cause this is BINGEABLE!The found family vibes are absolutely immaculate, I loved all the side characters POVs. This book made me laugh and cry! This series is seriously underrated!
