I’ve got a horrible gopher problem. I’m hoping these baskets will prove to be impenetrable for my garden plants. They were easy to use, & so far have made a solid barrier against the intrusive pests!

The product is as described and should protect plant roots from pesky burrowers yet allow roots to grow. I bought it for dahlia tubers, rather than against burrowing pests. I am hoping I can pre-sprout (using a coco liner inside the mesh), plant in garden, and then dig out in fall and overwinter dahlias in the liners. Time will tell if the mesh can hold it all together. Very promising!

I like the variety of sizes. They are somewhat thin but should keep the gophers & voles from eating plant tubers. I was able to cut the mesh with heavy scissors and actually change the shape by weaving a thin wire through.

Been battling the Plant vs Vole fight for ages, great to have a product that is reasonably priced compared to other root guard products on the market... great selection of sizes !!

In the area i live, we have a ton of voles and gophers. I’ve purchased 14 trees in the last two years and unfortunately someone always seems to make their way to feast on the roots. These mesh bags should hopefully save my trees this year! In the past I’ve lines the holes with chicken wire, which can be time consuming and a little dangerous. These mesh bags made planting trees a breeze! The concept makes sense and the price is right. Overall, i can see this performance working very well for me in the near future. Extremely happy this is an option and i cant wait for my trees to thrive this year.

Planted these with new blueberry bushes and we haven’t had any problems with anything messing with the roots. So far so good!

I live in the mountains in SoCal, and we have a pretty serious gopher problem up here.If you sit in the yard long enough you can literally watch them pull plants down into the ground like a cartoon.I got these mesh root bags in hopes to protect my plants from the little monsters.It’s a nice assortment of sizes, especially if your planting bulbs and croms.The wire feels strong enough to befuddle the gophers but pliable enough that a plants roots might manipulate it in time if it gets large enough.I’ll have to update this review once I do some planting.

The gophers will not win! I've been trying to save my plants from the gophers. I find that these guard baskets give the plants enough time to establish an extensive root system to withstand any eating or disturbance from the gophers. They seem to work! I can recommend.
