These crocks are perfect to ferment healthy and delicious vegetables through a traditional method for naturally preserving food through culturing in a salt/water brine solution. The lid fits into a specially designed gutter on the crock, creating an airtight seal that will permit gasses to escape in the fermentation process, while keeping air out.
