Fascinating concept
Mr Calvert really lets his imagination loose with this storyline but, all is firmly grounded in our current understanding of science used to support the story. Great stuff!

that is some leap of imagination!
Something about the way the words went together drew me into this fabulous story and its conclusion which leads on to the beginning or the “circle of eternity”.Well done Mr. Calvert an epic leap of imagination beautifully realised.

Good
An author U like this is different to his usual all action adventure stuff.A bit too much high tech explanations for my taste but overall a good read.

most thought provoking read in a long time
wow, the author must have an amazing grasp of science to be able to conceive and execute such a thought provoking book. ignore the nay-saying in many of the other reviews, especially the too complicated for my feeble mind variety. if you want your ideas on the origin and meaning of the universe to be really challenged, then read this book

Mind Bending!
Excellent, hard SciFi. Major leagues of making you think, but not a hard read. Interesting & believable characters. A unique SciFi concept that I’ve not run across before (and I’ve read A LOT of SciFi). Highly recommended

Captivating Hard Science
I always enjoy this author's books. This one is fairly heavy hard science, but he keeps the story so captivating that you never lose interest.A story that will make you think and ponder its message.

Well written, goes too far into scientific explanations
This was a well written story. I liked the initial premise, and that the main character was a woman.I usually like stories where complex science is explained. But for me, the author went too far. The physics was a little too complex for me, and the author spent too much time and passive dialogue explaining. However, the physics and explanations were central to the story. The story is more of a philosophical "what if". So in that respect, the ending was appropriate. But for me, I didn't like the ending at all. If I were the main character, I would never have made the decision she did under the circumstances she found herself in. I don't think any woman in her life situation would. However, since the point of the book was a little bit more of an allegory, the story and its ending will work for a lot of people. My suggestions to the author, dumb down the physics a bit so more of us can follow. Try to show it more than tell it through dialogue. And foreshadow the main characters eventual choices more plainly throughout the book, for believability.

Interesting concepts
An interesting book with some decent science along with lots of oversimplified science. Characters were also simplified and somewhat shallow. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the book and the author's ideas.

Fascinating
As a lay person interested in science, this was a great dive into physics and humans. The story is interesting, fresh, unusual, and very enjoyable.
