The bad:Software is quirky and didn't come with a programming cable. This is a nightmare to program without the cable and software. You will need to become familiar with how the software works. Not quite as easy as Chirp and you have to use Zastone's software to program.The good:After I figured out all the little nuances in the software it was a fairly easy to setup and program all my local repeaters. The radio works great, it is clear and stable, the controls are nice. I haven't used it for air or am reception yet but will be giving that a try soon. The reports back on my transmit are very good. I recommend this radio for everyday use.Update:After several months use the LED's have started to fail on the head unit. I called and requested another or repair. The folks at Zastone don't stand behind their warranty. I don't think I would buy this again. Changing my rating to a ONE STAR.

I like the display on it however the receive on it is no where nearly as clear as the wouxun I had. Stations that I have programmed, I could hear clear as a bell on the wouxun, but the zastone has a lot of static on the receive side. If I had a choice of buying another zastone, I certainly would not.

This thing was AWESOME until it wasn't. Worked great for two weeks and all of a sudden when I key it backfed audio causing it transmit the back feed. Yes it transmitted the back feed as if another radio was on. Tried different freqs, no luck. Tried reset, no luck. Trying replacement, maybe luck.

Got one for my Jeep,I typically only review and item after owning it for half a month and it works absolutely perfect. It's easy to install and use for me and I have no complaints.I am surprisely to the 50W high out power,long transmission when i am driving on plain!Great value!
