LEGOJurassic World Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape 75929 Building Kit (577 Pieces)

The media could not be loaded. This may be the 'sleeper' set that surpasses all the others in the Jurassic World lineup.The design on Owen in this set is only available in this LEGO set. Though Owen is available in other Jurassic World sets, he's the same in each of them. Additionally, this is the only LEGO set where you can get Franklin (who looks great in LEGO form by the way). Claire is standard in this set, so there's nothing overly exciting about her character minifig. The two sets of instructions with this set are straight-forward and do a great job assisting with the build.The truck has a strong presence as it's raised high and is packed with lots of off-road features that surely position it to do well on the back roads. The back 'bed' portion of the truck comes off easily and allows for easy movement. The trailer that attaches to the back of the truck to transport the Gyrosphere is nice and functions well. The truck as a whole is sturdy and has a high level of playability.The set comes with four white dinosaur eggs, which I believe is the largest number of eggs in any of the new Jurassic World LEGO sets. The volcano scene is quite important in the movie, and this portion of the LEGO set definitely doesn't disappoint. The green foliage all looks great and the design portion to spill hot lava does exactly as intended.Something that is absolutely awesome in this set is the Gyrosphere. In the movies this contraption ensures the people inside always remain upright... somehow, with the magic of LEGO, LEGO designers were able to create a similar experience where Franklin stays upright the entire time the Gyrosphere rolls; very impressive and the overall Gyrosphere looks great.Now, to the main attraction of this LEGO set... the Carnotaurus. Possible spoiler for the movie... the Carnotaurus doesn't have a significant role in the latest movie Fallen Kingdom, but nonetheless, it's a great addition to this LEGO set.At first glance, the Carnotaurus is similar to the T-Rex. Having said that, though roughly the same size as the T-Rex, the Carnotaurus has a few noticeable differences. The T-Rex has two claws, while the Carnotaurus has three smaller claws. The Carnotaurus has spikes all across the top of his body, while the T-Rex does not. The head on the Carnotaurus is completely new and unique to the Carnotaurus. The actual head of the T-Rex is slightly larger than the Carnotaurus', but when placing them next to each other in the same pose, they are basically the same size. The two leg pieces are identical except for the coloring. My son has been setting up epic battle scenes between the two nonstop.Finally, this set comes with a cute baby dinosaur. I’ve found LEGO toys are among the best for stimulating and engaging toys for today’s children. I believe it is the best activity to get kids away from screentime, while still maintaining their independent play. I find the age recommendations are generally pretty close, though every child is different and some can work on sets above their age level. This set is no different. My 9 year old is in a phase of loving dinosaurs, especially Jurassic World themed. He is lagging behind most children his age in basic educational skills such as reading, writing and math, yet he was able to build this set with minimal adult supervision or assistance. It took him a few days of after school building, so was a great distraction for him.The set itself is well thought out with the nice big dinosaur figure and vehicle with enough moving parts for entertainment once built. The only issue my little guy had was finding the instructions to build the “bubble” for the gyrosphere. He did figure it out, and has taken it apart to change the mini figure which sits inside several times.I recommend this set for any Jurassic World fan.

This was a very fun LEGO build, and it’s even more fun to play with once it’s built. Included is a gyro sphere (in which the seat actually remains upright as it’s rolling) which can be launched from either the truck or the tree station. And of course, the Carnotaurus was a big draw for my kids, who are big fans of the Jurassic World movies. It did not disappoint, and it turns out that you can mix its parts with parts from other dinosaurs, building your own hybrid. My kids (5 and 8) and I all like this set, and it’s always a bonus when the LEGO set is even more fun to mess around with AFTER the build is done!

Amazing set with a really nice truck and a surprisingly complex scenery build. The carnotaurus is great and super playable. (Only purchased because 50% off would not buy otherwise)

Oh my gosh. This thing is fantastic. Took 6 or 7 hours with me and my 5 year old grandson taking our time and having him do as much as he could while I assisted a lot. But there is so much play time with this set. LEGO gets a big hi-5 and a 10 out of 10 from this grandma who is a Jurassic World Lover. We had no issues with it works great.

Got this for my 7 year old’s birthday. He put almost the entire thing together himself with only a little help from me. He loves it! The baby Carnotaurus and the eggs are a fun addition to the rest of the set. I liked how all the big pieces can go together, i.e., the gyrosphere can be in the station or resting on the trailer, and the trailer can be hooked up to the back of the truck for transport. It’s a great set! You really can’t go wrong with Legos in general anyway.

This set is a must have for LEGO Jurassic fans, I’ve already bought this before I ordered this one and I have to say getting it a second time was great. Initially the whole set is great from the gyro station to the truck or even the new Carnotaurus. I got the extra set for my own moc builds and I was happy to build my own trailer and tree build.
