Wow, I love these. I do a lot of fondant and chocolate work, and it's hard to find more modern, abstract pieces. This mold could be used for pieces for a stunning modern cake, or individually for separate desserts, either sitting flat on top or inserted vertically.This is a quality, heavy mold that should hold up to years of use. It is nice and dense, no hollow back to cause warping - especially important for these designs.This is another of those molds where skill is going to help a lot with removing the pieces, so be really patient. It just takes practice. As another reviewer said, you want to pop it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before removing the pieces. Then you want to lay the mold face-down on a table, and slowly pull it away from the chocolate/fondant, NOT the other way around. Remember, the mold will bend, but your dessert piece will not, so you want to push flat on the back of the mold, keeping the dessert piece nice and stable, while you peel back the mold at the corner. Expect breakages. Give yourself extra time. The finished pieces will be worth the effort.

I love it when I can make food look fancy with something easy to do. This mold can make cakes or cupcakes or even fruit cups look elegant with minimal effort. Fill with melted chocolate, remove the excess with a spatula or other straight edge, and put in the fridge. In a few minutes just peel the mold back and remove your chocolate decoration!If you are wondering about the size, I show in a pic that these are almost exactly the size of a typical 16oz water bottle.
