I debated on these for several hours before I ordered them, asking myself if my daughter (8yo) had outgrown them. I almost didn't order them on that account. But in the end I decided to go ahead and try them, and we're both very glad I did.My daughter has had several sets of these over the years, but most of them have contained only the 3 main tools: the red and navy shovels and the green garden rake. Occasionally I've seen one with the yellow rake. Never had I seen the pink scoop or the red scoop before, and those are the reason I ordered these, as much for myself as for her. She loves the pink scoop for scooping up and mixing soil, while I am so thrilled to have the red one for setting our seedlings into the ground. It is just about perfect for driving into the garden bed, rotating in a circle, then scooping out a perfect tube for setting a narrow seedling without having to dig out a huge hole and then back fill a ton. And neither is showing any sign of paint chipping or wear, despite our farm being on pretty hard clay soil.The only things I could have improved would have been to have included either some way to hang these up OR some kind of bag or other container to keep them in. Sets she's had in the past have had pre-drilled holes or hanging straps, and I've seen sets that come with gardening or shell collecting bags. One of those options for storing her tools would have made this set perfect. The cardboard box it comes in is highly giftable, and this is a perfect Easter Basket filler for a little gardener, but it's not a great place to put their muddy tools away in when they're done. I guess the easter bunny will have to deliver a gardening bag for her. Otherwise, though, they're perfect.

Sand is probably the world's best toy for young children! And when it's next to water, like at a beach, it's even better. The toys are sturdy enough to last the entire summer, if not longer - which is better than their plastic counterparts can claim.I love that the shovels have just short handles. I've bought long-handled shovels before, which the kids love, but they tend to swing the shovels then, posing a risk of injury to other children. I love the bright colors. And the pink tool is unique - it's a half-circle shape. I bet it will be a lot of fun when scooping wet or damp sand.The tools can also be used as gardening tools, if you have a place for a small children's garden. But even if you just use them for beach tools, they are wonderful. If you have several children, you may want to get several sets.

I got these because my son has been asking me to plant things so I decided this Spring we are planting a garden. I didn’t expect much from a $10 set of kids toys, so I was definitely pleasantly surprised when these came and they’re actually a lot more sturdy and durable than I’d imagined they’d be. So far, they’ve held up to his rough use, and I don’t see any signs of wear on them yet. You get 5 tools in the box, made with metal heads and wooden handles, and they’re held together really well. Overall, I’m pleased with this purchase and would say it’s definitely worth the money.

This is a very cute and sturdy set. My kiddos have loved using this in the garden and digging in the dirt. As well as their sensory sand. They are great

These are my son’s FAVORITE shovels! He’s almost 5 and practically lives outside in the warmer months. He loves to dig so much we gave him a dedicated “mud hill” to do whatever he wants with. Last year I got him this same set and love it so much I got him another; now he can keep his favorite blue shovel outside and have a backup set in the car … impromptu beach trips, coming right up!Our first set has held up perfectly over the year. Obviously, they get a little weathered, especially when he leaves them in mud puddles for days on end. Even then, the handles aren’t loose or peeling/falling apart. Absolutely NO RUST!As I mentioned, his favorite is the blue shovel because it’s pointed. He can dig deeper and pull rocks out of the dirt without struggling. The pink scooper is fun to collect stuff in OR dig with. Reminds me of an ice cream scooper! They’re all metal with wood handles.I can’t believe they’re under $10. Makes an awesome Easter basket stuffer! 👍🏼

I saw the $9.99 price of these, and I was fully expecting the metal to be thin and bend during the first use, or for the tool part to fall off from the wood. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised with a lovely set all around which exceeded my expectations.First, when you get the package, the box is lovely with decorations and a sweet message of, "Thank you for purchasing! I hope we meet again!" It is refreshing to see a seller who appreciates their customer's business, and it definitely stands out from the crowd.Secondly, the wood and the tools themselves are very well made. This is a toy that could easily be at Pottery Barn Kids for five times the price. The metal is not sharp, even on the shovel, as I worried about it from the picture. With vigorous digging and playing, the color paint did not scratch. My son loved these out of the box, and they got immediately used in our garden for playing. Thank you

These beach sandbox toys are high quality. The meat is thick enough where it won’t bend too easily and the wooden handle is solid. Colorful yet sturdy and welcoming to little ones. Not sure how they will perform on wet sand at beaches but I believe these will hold up to the challenge. These will come in handy during summer beach days. Kids will have a blast!
