Good refrancs book with good pictures

It is awesome. The descriptions and details of the inserted pictures are wonderful. I am a Chinese amateur botany enthusiast, and this book will help me a lot in identifying what I photoed on screes in the high altitude area in southwest China. The taxonomy system which this book adopted is the one that was published on New Journal of Botany in the year 2011. The classical taxonomy of Meconopsis was divided into three branches, which are Cathcartia, Papaver and Meconopsis.I still remember the moment when I first encountered Meconopsis punicea, which is the first species of Meconopsis I have ever met. I got so excited and just ran to that flower, lying on the grass and took a lot of pictures. It looks so similar with the red scarf in young pioneers. These wonderful flowers are the soul (at least a part of......) of southwest China.

Gorgeous book. I have bought it for my Grandma as she is an avid gardener and she will love it. Worth every penny, it arrived on time - this may become a collector's item in years to come.

The contents of this book are brilliant. Beware, however, to handle with care. An accident with a collapsing table has shown that the physical binding of this book is extremely weak, the whole thing being held together by the end papers. This is not how a heavy (and expensive) tome like this should be bound so five stars for the appearance and content but one star for the physical structure which evens out at three stars overall. Having said that, I will definitely repurchase as I do want the content and the damaged book isn't really repairable unless I get it professionally rebound.
