This kitchen knife sharpener is simple, quite and effective. The noise level is minimal, operation is intuitive, and the results were consistent with the time and effort used to get an edge appropriate for a kitchen knife. The three coarseness stones are just right to get fast accurate results, similar in concept to how I hone my other knives where I need a finer edge.If I have a criticism it is that when drawing the blade through the guide, the curve of the blade creates a situation where some skill/practice is required to consistently keep the edge properly oriented to the spinning stones. However, I believe that is a common feature of this style sharpener. This drawback is not serious enough that I would not recommend this knife sharpener.

Got this for my son ; he’s a chef and likes to keep a sharp knife handy ; he says it works great; better than the manual sharpener. I got tired of watching him fight with the manual sharpener.

This actually gets the blades sharp. It cost $20 more,but well worth it. My blades have actually gotten sharp. Easily a 5 star in comparison. Very easy to use. Happy very little downward pressure
