Good book. Different in feel from the film but as good. It was in excellent condition and arrived quickly

Really good telling of the story. I like the film and this book allows you to see the events at a deeper level, there are some differences but on the whole it is the same heroic tale.

Firstly the book arrived very quickly and was in excellent condition.I enjoyed the book, but to me it is one of those rare occasions where the film of the same name is better than the book.

The story-line makes for an enjoyable read and provides an interesting picture of human experiences & attitudes in WW2.In the process it explains the British "North-African-Desert" campaign and is of particular interest to those with family members who earned the nickname of "Desert Rats" whilst serving with the Eighth Army.

Just love it and subtly different from the great file

The book gives much more insight into the characters in the story than the equally excellent film. Well worth reading.

Absolutely superb. I have watched it a few times since I bought the DVD, and I never seem to tire of it.Brilliant performances all round, and a great storyline
