Last Rights: The Death of American Liberty

This book is a masterpiece of thorough research, extraordinary analysis, and brilliant writing.
“Last Rights” is a clever non-secular play on “Lost Rights,” the title of a previous book by Mr. Bovard. In “Last Rights,” he shows how the government, often under the color of law, has trampled the rights of citizens. Covering topics including asset forfeiture, government schools, the DEA, the FBI, the Covid response debacle, police misconduct, unaccountable unelected government bureaucrats, the TSA, government subsidies, warrantless searches, and government secrecy and censorship, he documents how the Constitution is routinely violated, especially the first, second, fourth, and fifth amendments. In addition, the book explains how the American people are now divided into two groups – those who have political power (and immunity), and the rest of us. In politicians’ pursuit of power, the civil and constitutional rights of citizens are mere inconveniences. If the people don’t wake up, it could be last rites for American liberty.

Great book!
Very enlightening. Not the author's opinion, but actual facts. When people say they're free here in America, read this book and it might change your mind. Lots of examples of how our government is tightening it's grip on us and removing our rights.

Much needed in this time!
This is a fairly easy to read synopsis of the tyranny in front of our faces. This should infuriate you. I'm loving the book so far and I'm pissed at the extent to which the individual gets screwed over if they happen to be so unlucky up against law enforcement at all levels. Highly recommended to anyone who is skeptical of the government.

James Bouvard, national treasure
James Bovard stands as a vigilant watchdog, unraveling government malfeasance and deceit with a touch of humor. "Lost Rights" delves into the FBI, TSA, and the Covid response, portraying them as profound disasters. In my opinion, it deserves an emphatic 10 stars and is a must-read for everyone.

Needs editing - too long winded
The contents are good. But it was too long winded for me so I gave up.

Very informative with a sense of humor
James Bovard does it again! A smart read on the craziness of today’s policies. Love Bovard’s sense of humor and how he can highlight the absurd.
