We are about to get neck deep in TMI. Ready for it? I have interstitial cystitis and sometimes the only thing that will help is a sitz bath. For quite some time I've had the traditional sitz bath with the raised bit at the front that goes in between your legs that somehow manages to pinch the living daylights out of your inner thighs. When I saw this nice and smooth sitz bath I was super stoked because it just looked so much more comfy and it is, BUT your first couple of uses you're gonna flood the bathroom. There's a hole/drain in the back of the thing but it doesn't matter. Fill the bath up and have a squat and water comes rushing over the front of the toilet and the floor gets soaked. After my first attempt I was irritated and went back to having my thighs pinched for a while until I couldn't reach it up on top of the shelf and my guy wasn't around to get up there and grab it for me so I was stuck with my newer, more rounded Sitz bath. Over the course of a couple of uses I found out that you CAN use this without a deluge that soaks the back of your calves and makes your feet go prune-y from sitting in a puddle for 20 minutes. Rather than get settled into the thing and sort of jamming your body down in there just perch so that your affected area is inside of the water. My first time perching and I didn't make a mess I was thrilled. The rounded edges make it so much easier on my legs and because it is smooth you can prop yourself up a bit so that you don't sink in without any discomfort. There is definitely a learning curve but I think that if you work out using this sitz bath, you'll prefer it over the other style out of sheer comfort.

Douper has fantastic customer service and communication. The specific product meets expectations although it could be a bit more flexible to be truly foldable for travel but it works well and is of high quality.
