Fotodiox Lens Adapter - Compatible with Tamron Adaptall II Lens Mounts to Pentax K D/SLR Cameras

I'm using this to mount a vintage Tamron 500mm f8 mirror lens on my Pentax K-S2. It fits perfectly with no movement once mounted, and dismounts easily too. Construction is high-quality with no sharp edges, so I'm very content with this purchase.One word of warning though: be very cautious aligning the dots on the mount to the lens and camera body. The small orange dot is supposed to line up with a green dot on my particular lens, and the larger orange dot lines up with the camera body's corresponding dot. I mounted without lining these up carefully the first time and the mount got stuck, resulting in a disturbing 15 minutes of wiggling before I got it out of the camera.

Well-made and fit for purpose. Simple and effective, allows me to use a great Adaptall lens on my Pentax, and the duo work well together.

I have Nikon, Canon and Pentax adaptall adapters; the Pentax cost twice as much as the other 2 but has the same build quality. When I received this adapter while the adaptall side (the SS side) was perfectly machined the P\K side had very sharp edges on the flanges which took some time to wear down. I don't like introducing fine aluminium powder to the inside of my camera. Also the flanges are very narrow and when you hold the lens release the kens can be turned past the removal point fir the lens which i have never experienced before. But now to the delema; I was hiking with my K-1 and a very heavy lens (~1.1kg) when my camera took a spill. The lens ended up next to the camera after seperating at the adaptall adapter. Aluminum still on the body SS still on the lens. So while I'm not happy about how easily the threads pulled out of the aluminium on the adapter, the fact that it separated probably saved the lens or the camera since both survive with just some surface scratches. So while its manner of failure could give it another star since it saved my camera. The machining of the P\K mount side and the unknown added cost push this review down especially since there are almost no other options for Pentax users.

This adapter fits really well both into my Pentax K-5 and my lens. The only issue I could find was that the red dot on the PK side was not placed exactly where it should be, but who cares about such minor details :)

Very good adapter i bought it to use with my Tamron 135mm f/2.5 lens ,,, it scrowed flowlessly and locked on the body very well .. i recommend it for every pentaxian photographer ...

One side fits adaptall II lenses and the other side fits Pentax camera bodies. If you have that type of lens and that type of camera, this is how you connect the two.It is a circle of metal and plastic. There isn't anything that should be able to go wrong with this. On my copy the fit was nice and snug.

What can I say, it allowed me to attached a adapell zoom lens to my Pentax K50. Exactly what I needed!

I inherited my fathers 25+year old SLR Tamron lens collection and wanted to continue to use them rather than spend a fortune on DLSR lens's. I've mixed results but it may be due to my focusing, ability or age of lens.

I just received this adapter. It arrived within the time frame suggested and works like a charm. I'm using it to adapt a Tamron Adaptall SP 300mm f2.8 LD IF lens to a Sigma SD14 and Sigma SD15. (The SA mount accepts PK lenses with some adaptation. However, this adapter needed no changing at all.)
