This is an amazing tool for scruffy dogs, and their owners, everywhere!We had one of these with more blades to handle the super fluffy coat of our Sprocker - Springer/Cocker Spaniel cross.She has such thick fur and is solid black, so we often worry about her over heating, especially when the weather starts improving.Using the Coat-King we are able to remove lots of her hair, without having to shave her down as often.We bought this one to use on our other dog - GSD/Poodle cross. He has a very wiry, scruffy coat that sheds like crazy.On using the Coat-King it completely changes his appearance from a crazy, scruffy, wolf hound look to a rather sleek and neat dog. Our dog groomer uses the same thing on him as it works so well.It's like a rake with sharpened bits at the bottom so it actually cuts the undercoat and lifts it out.It really helped reduce shedding in both our dogs.We have had it for over a year now and it is still working as well as the day we got it.It is a really well made product that is very helpful for reducing the amount of hair around your house and for thinning out very thick, unruly coats.

After years of listening to friends raving about their 'Coat King' I took the plunge and bought one for stripping my GWP. All I can say is that I wish I had bought one sooner! The hours I would have saved hand stripping! The Coat King is a well made product and will no doubt last for many years. It is comfortable to use and does not 'cut' the hair but successfully removes the undercoat with little effort. You do have to watch you do not over do it (or you will get bald patches) but using it once a week, has left my bitch looking great. Very please with this product and very pleased with Diamond Edge Ltd whom supplied the product and went the extra mile to assist me when I wanted to buy another one for my mother's Westie.

Great product, really gets the unwanted hair out

This effective little tool was great for stripping the loose coat from our golden retriever. He loved being groomed with it!However our lahso apso cross we have, with a very thick coat, was not so successful and the Coat King didn't do anything to help her - we couldn't get it through her fur and she hated it!Maybe I have the wrong size blade?It was a very well made handy little tool anyway.

Sharp blades, great for dematting and removing undercoat

I took a chance on buying this relatively expensive tool to groom my Lakeland Terrier but I'm so glad I did.Her coat is hard, wiry, fast growing and needs frequent tidying. As she is dog reactive, I can't take her to a salon, so have to groom her myself in short sessions at home.This tool is an absolute godsend. It is easy to use, gentle, and gives the effect of hand stripping without all the trauma and time (and cost if done in a salon!)My dog doesn't mind this wonderful tool being used on her and even seems to enjoy it.I'd say if you've got a terrier of this type, definitely get one.

A friend lent me hers to try before I bought my own. It's absolutely fabulous and works a treat on my wire haired dog. It's really easy to use, and as it doesn't tug, the dog enjoys having it done (bonus)!It's saving me a fortune on grooming fees, and easily gets rid of the old coat. You can trim the dog as much or as little as you want, so your dog can keep its personality and cuteness but still look groomed at the same time.

Bought this for my show cocker spaniels .This works great on my black cocker who has a thick coatThe blades are sharp so if your new like me be careful .I would def recommend this product is a bit expensive but I didn't realise it was shipped from aus the quality is good and it works great combs the dead air easily and my black cocker is nice & shiny .
