I bought these for my partner who needed a new pair of cargo shorts for work. They fit well, were true to size and were comfortable.However after a few weeks of wear they started to get holes in the seams and show a lot of signs of wear. They ended up in the bin unfortunately. I would not repurchase.

The pockets are exactly what I was looking for. Pockets are usually the first things to go for me, and these pockets are made of a thick and seemingly tough material. The stitching in the pockets also seem very durable. Indeed, the shorts overall are made of a tough and thick cotton material, so I think these will last me a good few summers. I'm 6ft with a 34 inch waist, and the 34 fit me perfectly with the bottom of the shorts at knee length when stood up.EDIT - the above review was from summer 2016, when I bought two pairs of shorts and was immensely happy. I've just bought a further pair of shorts (August 2017) and I'm disappointed to find that the quality of the pockets has really gone downhill. They're now average quality for pockets, and thus I will find that they wear thin from usage. It's a real shame. I should also note that the green shorts I bought last year lost a lot of colour through the sun and washing machine - far ore so than other green shorts I've owned. However, I still feel the shorts are worth 4 stars.

I'd seen mixed reviews on these shorts, after putting in my order. When they arrived, the waist was a little tight, although still wearable. Another pair of cargo shorts from a retail outlet with the same waist size was fine. However, other negative comments I'd read didn't stack up. The main pockets of these shorts have a good, generous depth and the quality of material and manufacture appear fine. So, buy the next size p to normal and you will get a good product.One gripe; the photos do show the shorts with a belt and this would suggest they come with one; not uncommon for cargo shorts. These DON'T, and I find that a bit misleading. I think Amazon should get the supplier to produce new photos that show them without a belt and then this would be a truthful reflection of the product.

I really like these (so much so, I bought another pair) - only downside was that the buttons weren't sewn on _particularly_ well - I've since re-enforced these with a few more stitches and they're now perfect (not just the main button either - I lost a pocket button on the first day) - feels a bit harsh dropping a whole star, but it gets a solid 4.5 overall.Size was exactly as I expected.Overall very pleased, would recommend and I would definitely purchase again.

Bought two pairs of these last Spring and pretty much lived in them all Summer. They're comfy and sturdy, showing very little signs of wear and tear. The pockets are a nice size and haven't fallen apart yet. I had to re-attach a button on one pair, but that's all.I'm 5'10 and a 34" waist. The 34's are a little baggy, but sit nicely on my hips and look a sensible length stopping just at my knees.

I've said they were moderately small because usually a 36 in shorts would be pretty loose on me but these were an exact fit, I do have big thighs though so ... yeah. The labelling is in Chinese and says XXL so perhaps it's a matter of the sort of cut that is typical in that market (in the same way that American stuff is cut loosely compared to Europe).The material is pretty thick, a little stiff at first but will probably soften up when washed, as will the colour since having bought them in black they are very black, more than the picture suggested, which is fine.

I am happy with the shorts generally but the colour I recieved was more tangerine than burnt orangethat appeared on the photo shown

Cheap as chalk, very well made and terrific quality for the price,these cargo shorts will serve me well during the Summer months ahead.They've got tons of of pockets to load up so you end up lookinglike a beast of burden on a Himalayan trek and finish just above theknee so there's no fabric flapping round the calves which I don't like.I removed the strings from the leg cuffs, however, as I've neverquite understood what purpose they serve other than being asource of sensory irritation. As suggested in the product page blurb,order a waist size up - my 36" pair are indeed a comfortably snug 34".A Darned Good Deal.
