Good, but prior version is better
I bought an earlier version of this several years ago for my goddaughter when she turned one. She seemed to enjoy the little remote control car as much as her dad did—ha! I liked how simple the controls are. Just one button, making it easy for a little one to master. When my son turned one, I searched for this car and was excited to see it on Amazon. My son seems to enjoy the car, but hasn’t quite mastered holding down the button to make it move continually. He does love watching my hubby play with it though, especially when the little car pushes stuff around, like empty plastic bottles. I did notice that this car is slightly different than the one I had gotten for my goddaughter. The one I had gotten was made with a rubber type material and if I recall correctly, would maneuver and turn itself when it hit a wall. This one doesn’t turn itself when it hits something, but it’s still easy to maneuver by pressing the button again and allowing the car to rotate. This one also has flashing lights and an annoying mechanical sound as well as beeping noises when it’s rotating. Not horrible, but not something that blends into the background. I like the one I bought several years ago better, but this is still a good toy.

Perfect for the toddler
Bought this for my 2 year old for Christmas. He has loved it. I love that it's so easy for him to operate so I don't have to deal with frustrated meltdowns. Push the button and it either spins in circles or goes straight. The flashing lights in the car are a big hit and he loves to run it around after dark. A word of warning though. If you have someone in the house, or a pet as we do, who is sensitive to noises, this may be a bother. There is no volume control. While it is spinning is circles it beeps. It doesn't bother my ears, but it drives my dog nuts. Both the car and the remote are pretty sturdy. I've caught him standing on both and they have not broken. The antennae are heavy duty too. He always uses it to pick up the car.The car came with 4 AA batteries. Would have been a good thing but when we opened it on Christmas, they were dead. The remote does NOT come with the required 9V battery, which created another small issue come Christmas morning. Make sure you have one on hand. The battery life has been better than I expected. He has played with this every day for the past 2 weeks and I haven't had to replace the batteries yet.The package the car came in was pretty neat. There a card board wrap on the box that you take off, turn around and put back on the box, which covers the opening and would be pretty by itself for a birthday gift. It made it easy to wrap for Christmas. All in all, this is a great toy.

This would make a great gift for someone!
What a cute car!!! This is the perfect car for little hands!! We have a remote car that has the back and forth, side to side buttons and all of my kids prefer to play with this one.You just push the button and it goes forward, let go and push again and it turns one way, let go and push again and it starts going the other way! Super easy to figure out and my kids (6, 4 and 2) had in mastered in no time! Even my 2 1/2 year old can drive this around with ease! And the fact that you get pretty lights inside the car when you drive it! Bonus!! Who doesn't like lights?!?!Also very durable as it has gotten kicked around, dropped, etc...and no bumps or scratches and still working perfectly!

Just OK. Could be improved
The good,1. Durable. My son grinds the gears while pushing it on the floor. Endless repeated grinding, it works.2. It has 4 Wheel drive, but the wheels are slick hard plastic. Works on low pile carpet.3. It has nice lights and the physical housing is strongThe bad,1. Wireless conflicts with 2.4 Ghz wifi. This RC car accepts way too much noise, since it accepts noise and there is only 2 functions (forward and rotate), the car would just sit there and move a little here and there. Other cheap RC cars cars ($20), work with no problem. Sometimes the remote (button) does nothing from the Wifi interference. (I have an Apple wifi, and a TP-link wifi with dd-wrt)2. The awful noise from the speaker. It is VERY loud, I think it is supposed to be tire screeching. I disassembled the car, and cut the speaker wire.3. The battery compartment is cramped for rechargeable AA batteries.

Conflicted purchase
In theory, this toy is great. However, our toddler loves to hate it and hates to love it. When it’s turned on it’s loud and scary, and he screams (despite the fact he controls it). When we shut it off and it doesn’t work, he screams. When we put it away all together, he screams. There is no happy ending here.TLDR: it’s scary loud, not for kids who have sensory issues (though mine does not), but is super fun for the grown-ups to play with.

Cute toy but didn’t realize that it requires a 9volt so my son couldn’t play with it right away but it’s a cute toy my son is 2 and loves lights on toys so this was perfect!

Great Toddler Toy
We got this for our 15-month-old for Christmas since he seemed interested in cars in general and other remote controlled cars would be too difficult for him to operate by himself. At first he was afraid of it, but after a few days goes and gets it by himself to play with and seems to really get a kick out of driving it. It's easy to use with just one big button - push and hold to drive forward, stop and push/hold again to make it spin in place to change direction. It seems to have a somewhat limited range, but for toddler use it's fine. Great toy, and seems pretty durable, hopefully it lasts a while!

Great gift for toddlers
The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't include the 9v battery. Everything else is great.
