Fixing up a salvaged Macbook. Had a suspicion it was the SSD.Works great, now.

Worked perfectly to upgrade the memory in my 2017 MacBook Air. Came with High Sierra OS pre-installed; was able to upgrade to Monterey OS (the last one that my laptop would support given that it has the Intel processor). Would highly recommend.

I used it for my old MacBook Pro and so far works great!

Note: This does not fit all MacBook Air A1466 models. Pay attention to both your model # and EMC #, and compare to the vendor’s compatibility chart. This is NOT the vendors’ fault; you can have a A1466 EMC2599 and it is not listed as compatible (uses a different form factor).Just a heads-up - not a complaint about the vendor!

The instillation guide was step by step and they even walk you through getting your Mac back up and running again, they also pre-installed macOS system for us! They also sent tools that worked great. The memory upgrade process was easy and it works! The quality of this ssd was sperfect. It was everything I wanted it to be a small upgrade in space sure but nothing beats a fresh start on a crisp, and fast ssd. I'm glad I chose this!

It was pretty easy the replacement and remove the cover using the tools that came with the hard drive. I just needed a T5 screwdriver to remove the screw of the hard drive inside. Also the SDD already has macOS Catalina pre-installed. However if you want to keep some old apps running in this version or in a newer version, make a backup of those apps before to upgrade, otherwise you won't be able to run it again. I had backup and restore apps such as iMovie, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint from my previous disk, and copy and paste it into the /Applications folder in the new one. The performance of the new SDD is great, faster, and more room to save files.Good performing drive in an upgrade from a smaller volume ssd. Quicker boot time and decent cache for a bit of game installation. The sticker peel was easy with little resistance to make way for an aftermarket heatsink.This SSD exceeded my expectations! It fits perfectly in my MacBook Pro A1708 (2017) and delivers incredible read/write speeds. Apps launch instantly, and I haven't experienced any lag. Excellent product for Mac users!
