A healthier cereal that kids will choose to eat
About as 'healthy' as a regular kids' cereal can be, and yet it is normal looking and tasting enough to fool my children into requesting it as their first-choice cereal. My son eats it without milk, which makes it a very handy breakfast when travelling.Surprisingly they like the two flavours equally (the other is cocoa flavour) and we mix them equally. There are usually some fridge magnets included in the pack, and word-based puzzles on the back, but my children pay them no interest. They also don't bother trying to spell words out, which is a bit of a relief given their rather industrial language. So for all the gimmicks in Alphabites (free gifts, word games on the box, the whole alphabet in cereal form) my children choose them because they are very tasty. Which makes me a happy parent.Alternatives: plain cornflakes if you can get your children to eat them, or porridge with dried fruitPricing: you should always be able to find these somewhere for £2 a pack, or even less in some supermarket deals. Shop around then buy in bulk.

Doubles up as a snack for school!!
My daughter and I love this cereal. It's slightly sweet and we think it tastes really yummy! It's not fortified with the usual vitamins and minerals so we have a piece of fruit and some berries or a boiled egg after. Absolutely recommend this as part of a slightly healthy breakfast. She has also taken some to school in a tub as a snack! Tastes great without milk too!

Kids favourite cereal.
Another one for the youngsters, not exactly 'healthy', but as close as cereal can get. The Kids favourite cereal.

Healthier than the usual kids cereals.
I don't normally purchase this type of cereal for my 3 & 5 year old but as we were going on a self catering break I thought it would be easier than their usual porridge. They both loved the alpha bites & compared to most 'kids' cereals I was very happy with the ingredients.I would purchase again as a special treat.

Keeps the grey matter going.
I have the cereal every morning,I try to spell all the place names and towns in Scotland, good exercise for this ageing brain!!.I found it purely by accident and have been using it for years. It can be expensive, but the Amazon offer is good,so I've bought a few.

The cereal itself tastes great and looks to be better than any other kids ...
Bought on a whim whilst trying to find a healthier breakfast cereal for the kids. The cereal itself tastes great and looks to be better than any other kids brand on the market, healthy or not. Unfortunately I also have developed a taste for them :)
