Using this 4x2 Matrix with Humax Foxsat (Freesat) and Fox T2 (Freeview)
My original review is below. I have now been using this matrix for several years and it has been a reliable and essential component of my audio/video installation.I recently damaged the remote control. Although there are buttons on the front of the unit to switch sources the remote is essential to pre-select the audio output mode so I really needed a replacement. I emailed technical support at Leicke asking if they could supply one and at what price. I was delighted to receive a quick reply offering to send me a new remote free of charge once the exact model of my matrix had been determined. This is outstanding support for a product that was purchased three years ago and definitely puts Leicke Kanaan in the five star category.Original review:I have just received this item, so this is not a full review.Like others, I find the cables entering on three sides and the ascending order of the numbered input lights going from right to left annoying, but I knew that when I decided to buy.The purpose of this review is to help others who are having problems using this unit with Humax products where the remote controls interfere with one another and cause unwanted switching. It is possible to switch the Humax IR remote to a different mode. I couldn't find how to do this in the manual but the Internet was helpful. The information below is copied from another website and I apologise to the original poster if I haven't cited the source correctly.TO CHANGE IR MODE on HUMAX REMOTESFrom the Hummy.org.uk site, that is now suspended: Originally posted by BarryMulti Code function HDR remote--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Revealed exclusively to Hummy.org members. If you are using more than one receiver in the same location (or a 4x2 Matrix) you can change the remote control frequency so that the remote control commands do not conflict.(This is only relevant to the Foxsat HD, HDR, and HDCI 5000, and HD/HDR T2 Freeview products.)1. Switch on your TV set and the Humax product that you wish to change the remote code.2. Make sure that any other Humax products you have are in Standby or powered OFF at the mains.3. Point the remote control towards the remote control sensor of the target receiver - get close to do this so there is no breakup of the IR beam and check that a dirty OK and/or 0 button does not cause the PVR light to flicker: you need a solid 5 seconds of signal from your remote to make this work.4. Press and hold the 0 and OK buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the PVR button on the remote stays red.5. A message will appear on the TV screen:"You can change the remote control mode.Press a Numeric Key (<1> ~ <6>) to select the modeCurrent mode: Mode 1."6. Press a NUMERIC button (from 1 to 6) to select a different mode.7. A message confirming the change of Mode will appear on screen.I have done this for a Humax Foxsat Freesat HDR setting to Mode 3 and a Humax Fox T2 Freeview HDR setting to Mode 4 - both work fine without interfering with the 4x2 Matrix

Bought this to get 5.1 to Sonos Playbar
Overall I'm happy with it, was a breeze to set up in minutes and is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures, so hides nice and easily behind the TV.Finally I can get 5.1 Dolby Surround sound from my HDMI devices (mainly SKY HD) to my SONOS Playbar using the optical out. The only issue is that now when I power off the TV, the Soundbar no longer mutes and is constantly taking a feed from the device. Previously turning the TV off would mute the Playbar at the same time. I can't turn the Sky box off as it also feeds another room.I could get round this using my Harmony all in one remote BUT the supplied remote control does not have an on off switch so no way of programming it. The only way to switch the matrix off is the psychical button on the unit but in my case thats not accessible as its a high wall mount.Such a shame as otherwise would have given it it an easy 5 stars.EDIT - To be fair have since found out that Sky boxes basically have HDMI always powered on so given it an extra star as not it's fault and does its job really well. If they added a power button on the remote it would be a 5

Temporary 1 star and novice question *fixed*
Can anyone re-direct me to a FAQ and troubleshooting page? I simply wish to run an Xbox, Macbook and Sky+ box through my HD TV and Soundbox with the primary concern being audio - predominantly as I want a neat solution to my surround sound having only one TOSLINK socket and tidying up my array of HDMI cables (I realize that it is probably overly equipped to facilitate this simple action; however the overwhelmingly positive consensus gauged from the reviews convinced me to go for it) - Anyway, I've just spent over an hour trying to get it to actually work - by that I mean simply display both audio and video through the different inputs, on one output - and so far I've had a flicking green to white noise screen which, seemingly, represented the Sky+ box, the Xbox working - temporarily, and finally just the audio of the Sky+ with no video on any of the different inputs. These irregularities were not simultaneous but reared they're slightly disappointing respective heads after fiddling with various Optical and HDMI cables in different inputs/outputs/ports on my TV with every possible permutation. This complete lack of function doesn't seem to be a common problem, any idea what I've done wrong? It's being sent back by the weekend so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Leicke KanaaN HDMI Matrix 4 Input 2 Output (4x2) Splitter Switch - 3D.
As other's have said I did buy one from a other site, it went back quickly. This 4 input to 2 output's I was worried about buying, glad I did buy it, it works very well. I needed a 4 into 2 HDMI splitter so I could send my sky to the television and to my projector when required then my blu-ray through to the projector as well, the other two space's came in handy as then I could send my Wii U and Xbox 360 through to the projectors to use on the large screen as well. The Leicke KanaaN HDMI Matrix 4 Input 2 Output (4x2) Splitter Switch - 3D, have watched a few good 3D movies through the splitter to my projector, it worked very well, most of the time I'm watching sky through to my television but as or when there's a good movie on I then send it to my projector so as to watch on the big screen. The little mini remote that came with the splitter does work okay, the distance between were I sit and the hdmi splitter is to far for remote, I have to walk closer to the box so as to use the remote, this is not a problem. All in all the splitter work well. One more thing, it comes with a 2 pin plug attached, here in the UK we need a 3 pin plug, so when I ordered the HDMI splitter I ordered a 2 pin to 3 pin plug adapter, tit turns out here was no need for me to have done so, when the HDMI splitter arrived I opened the box and removed the inner plastic and there was a 2 pin too 3 pin adapter in the box. There was no mention off this when ordering so I now have 2 adapter's. A GOOD LITTLE UNIT FOR THE PRICE I expected to pay more
