Kryptonite Kryptoflex 1218 Resettable Combo Cable with Flex Frame C Bracket - Black, 12 mm x 180 cm

Locking mechanism is a little stiff, but it works. I bought this as a secondary lock to use with the Kryptonite Evolution Mini-7 U-lock. The U-lock came with a flex cable, but it's a little thin. Using this instead is good for extra security, and has the benefit of having its own mount, and you came use it on it's own in low theft areas.

The lock itself is fine, seems tough and was simple enough to change the code.The bracket however, is needlessly complicated. You have to heat weld the nylon strap to stop it unravelling and coming loose (which will happen as the lock is rather heavy) and also means it's a pain to relocate if you ever want to. Not sure why its not a normal clamp fixing as it's no less secure.Considering the price and brand name I was disappointed as you can get something almost identical for half the price with a better clamp.

Good instructions and very safe locker

Used it the first time a week ago, purchased it a while back. Within a week someone cut them both clean and both bicycles stolen. These are merely symbolic and clearly so not work. Don’t waste your money. I just lost about £2000 worth of bikes.

Good for what it offers but would recommend having another lock with this one

Had trouble with the first one I was sent, but a replacement has been excellent. I realise it would not secure against strong bolt cutters but it is OK for the area I live in and for the short periods I leave my bike.

Whilst this only has a security rating of 2, it does not weigh too much and stows neatly under crossbar. As long at it deters a potential thief to pass on by whilst you've popped into the library, shops etc - job done.
