Usable piece of art.
I'm a big EDC junky lol , everything from high end customs to the basics. Currently in my edc rotation are Spyderco, Benchmades, and ofcourse Zero Tolerance😜. As of now my ZT's are in my opinion my personal favorites for edc and every day use. The only complaint " be it a small one" is that most of my ZT's are kinda chunky meaning a little on the heavy side however the 0462 weighing in at under 4 ounces is just perfect. The action is buttery smooth, the blade centering is spot on, and the fit and finish is pretty darn close to blades that have cost me 4x as much. The deployment is fast, really fast however the knife isn't small by any means and it's a attention hog with its red carbon fiber, it's titanium frame lock , and it's fairly intimidating Persian style blade. The blade steel is in my opinion one of the best for folders(CPM20CV) with edge retention, durability, and with practice resharpening. My tools get used daily for utilitarian tasks, boxes, cordage, food prep and so on though I can see this blade coming in handy in a "tactical" self defense situation. I guess the best blade to have is the one on you however if you want something close to a high end custom thats usable for everyday tasks I would highly recommend this piece its a beutiful and usable knife which has performed extremely well for my everyday carry needs.

Looks pretty, but just as tough any other ZT
The media could not be loaded. The 0462 is Zero Tolerance purchase # 17 for me, that is, it is the most recently purchased model of the 17 ZT knives I own. I really love ZTs: people can argue over how much they like or dislike particular designs, you can always buy a ZT and be confident you will get a top-quality knife made with premium materials, ultra-fine tolerances, and the smoothest blade action of any production knife in the world. The reason thr 0462 was my 17 ZT and not my first, second, or third was that I was always a little skeptical about the design. It's a big knife, and the combination of the curved handled and upswept blade made me wonder if perhaps it was more of a "show knife" vs a knife that could be used for hard work. And it is a show knife, if that's what you want it for--that big, satin, Persian style blade looks amazing with the red carbon fiber. But I should have remembered that if it was a ZT it was going to be more than solid enough for hard use, and it most definitely is. Despite its somewhat delicate appearance, this knife is solid enough to handle whatever (non-prying or striking) jobs you want to thow at it.Secondly, like most knives whose handles are a combination of a titanium or steel frame lock on one side, and a carbon fiber scale on the other, this knife would not be good for lefties. This is because of the slightly imbalanced weight; the carbon scale is noticeably lighter, despite milled and chamfered pockets inside the titanium scale to reduce its weight (a nice, custom-style sort of detail, and the ZT logo is etched in there as well). The uneven weight causes the knife to want to push a little to the right, and if it's held in the right hand this is a good thing because the knife is literally leaning in towards the hand holding it, making it sit more securely. Conversely, if held in the left hand the effect means the knife will by trying to lean away from the hand, making it harder to hold onto. The effect isn't huge but it is noticeable, and for that reason not recommended for left-handed people. For we non-sinister, dexterous 90% however, this is an outstanding knife, whether you plan to beat it up or just admire it as a piece of sharp art.A couple of things to note about the 0462: the action is so smooth that the blade can easiy drop shut with enough force to slice fingers. The attached video is a demonstration of the remarkable action, and the green bandage.wraps on my fingers are so they don't get sliced off as I tried to film with one hand and eye, and work the knife with the others.

Drop shut, smooth and beautiful design
Easily the smoothest bearing action ZT I own out of a 0470, 0393glcf, 0562ti, 0452rdbw and 0456. I bought this just to look at and handle more than anything. It's a beautiful design that I decided I needed to have before it's discontinued as I feel it probably will be soon. It's got a drop shut glass action. The detent is perfect for the flipper size and blade weight. The red weave carbon is darker in person and looks like a maroon or burgundy which is nice. The TI is machined well and has lots of relief cuts in it so it doesn't weight much for its size. Two bad things the clip is absolute garbage must be replaced and the blade geometry isn't the best, its a little thick. It really needs a full flat grind or a deep hollow to make it a better cutting tool. Overall an amazing knife for the money.

Wow. Very nice looking, top notch quality.
This is a very nice knife. The carbon fiber handle is stunning to look at in the sun. The whole knife just oozes quality. Solid when open. Centered when closed. Buttery smooth action. Edge grind is even. Blade detent is good, not gonna go anywhere. Is very light weight for its size. Is a beautiful looking knife design with its curved handle and upswept blade. The s20v steel is beautiful to look at and is a top notch performer. And of course it's hair shaving sharp. Is my first ZT amongst plenty of Benchmades, Spydercos, Kizers, Cold Steels, CRKTs, SOGs, and others. Is my most expensive knife to date, but we'll worth it. I barely even carry it due to it is so nice.

Killer Design Meets Quality Materials
This is the most beautiful knife I have ever owned. This is my second ZT but my first carbon fiber knife. I have always been a fan of assisted opens and auto knives, but the action on this knife is so smooth I often find myself just toying with opening and closing it. It has a very satisfying deployment. The carbon fiber is addition to providing the intended lightness also is textured to provide a solid stable grip. The shape is for lack of a better phrase "sexy as hell." It's a beautiful blade reminiscent of middle eastern blade shapes but is very modern mostly due to the perfect combination of modern materials. It's not a play knife, for defense the blade length and deployment both make me confident that if needed it would be a formidable weapon. I hope you enjoy your as much as I do, it's a real pleasure sliding this into my pocket everyday.
