SCOTTeVEST Revolution 2.0 Plus - Insulated Winter Jacket - 26 Pocket Jacket

I purchased this coat for our recent trip to Japan. I always end up with everybody's crap on my person for some reason so in preparation for that I purchased this coat. The pockets and overall design are great. I can actually carry my large iPad Pro in the tablet pocket no problem. I LOVED the zip off sleeves for days when it was a bit warmer, and the little sleeve pocket was the PERFECT place for me to keep my PASMO card (for the trains/busses). I was always the first one through the gates because of how easy it was for me to get to and store my PASMO card.Now let's get down to the thing I don't like. Simply put the stitching quality of this coat leaves quite a bit to be desired. At the $300+ price point I expect/demand an expertly sewed garment, or I am happy to pay a few extra more dollars for that level. Many of the stitching seams on my coat started to come undone within one day of pretty light use. The velcro at the wrist cuff on my right sleeve has already come completely undone to the point I can't really use it. Several of the interior pockets are already showing signs of severe wear and tear. Keep in mind I wore this coat for 14 days total. Now that we are home I have stowed the coat until my next trip, but I have to say the poorly stitched coat has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Finally a company has made a jacket and a hoodie for we women who need pockets more than any man I know. I have to carry wallet , phone, keys, gloves, leaches, kindle, iPad, water, brush, lip balm, hand cream - this usually means I have a purse- try jogging while carrying a purse or wearing a back pack. I'm a grown woman who hates the baggage of a purse. Now I have a warm well cut well styled jacket with many hidden pockets. Now? No need for a clunky purse- and better than even that- I have my hands free for my grandson, or my two dogs or groceries etc. Liberation! I immediately bought one for my globe trotting son who often feels like a pack horse on and off planes. He loves it! Looks great too- and is warm and rain resistant. What more do any of us men and women need?

This is the updated Revolution Plus 2.0, maybe it should be renamed 2.5 or 3.0? This is a better fit in the length. The previous version was too long, and the shell was soft. This version is shorter in length and has a better water resistant shell. Both versions have the same number of pockets, but this has a sleeve pocket and back pocket, rather than two extra hand warmer pockets as the old version did.

I honestly believe that this is the best winter coat that I've ever owned. It's super duper warm, it has more pockets than anyone ought to be able to legally have in one coat, and (bonus) the sleeves are removable.I'm a committed commuter cyclist and I ride in all kinds of weather. Although this coat isn't water PROOF, it is extremely water resistant. Its Teflon outer shell looks great and food and mud don't stick to it. There is a concealed compartment in the back that is perfect for carrying the hood or a pair of gloves and (again) more pockets than you can shake a stick at.If you are a walker, a cyclist, or a straphanger you will love this coat for winter use. The only down side: It doesn't come in any other color than black.

Loved it ! So glad I got the sleeves and hood to go with it. It was the perfect purchase for my trip to Ireland.I was able to use it as my carry-on and going through security at the airports just dropped it in the box and collected it on the other side. It was great !My only complaint, and I jest, was too many pockets. I sometimes couldn’t find things... lolGreat quality, great idea and maybe just a little pricey.
