Sougayilang Fishing Rod Reel Combo with Telescopic Fishing Pole Spinning Reel Carrier Bag for Travel Saltwater Freshwater Fishing

The media could not be loaded. Was pleasantly surprised by the robustness of this telescopic fishing pole. Give the nature of its construction I figured it would feel noticeably weaker than a traditional pole. Not at all my experience, I’d recommend taking your time when extending the pole and giving the segments a firm twist at the base to secure them.Reel is BUTTER and the 33 lb braid is a blessing too. This was my first time spooling braid and it was a B****. I’ve heard it helps to wet it and other things but once I finally got about 150-200 yards on the reel with no major “kinking” or overlapping the line performed well.Took her out with friends a few days back. Was 32F, no wind and clear sky. We saw some crappie and other sunfish becoming active and started throwing lures. No catch but plenty of hits on a few of the provided lures. Looking forward to the upcoming season! (Also was able to get 2 for price of one with the latest holiday sales)***UPDATE 9/26/24Now having made to late season wanted to leave an updated review. I’ve caught many bait and game fish with this rod and reel. This rod has allowed me to take advantage of bodies of water I wouldn’t normally fish. The added convenience of keeping a quality rod with me at all times has definitely put new energy into my passion for fishing. Also wanted to note I haven’t noticed any corrosion like I do with some of my older poles (especially around the eyelets). Treat this rod well and she’ll do the same !

I highly recommend this travel rod. I take it everywhere with me. Price is great and its super convenient to travel with since it collapses. I take it on hikes with me, I've done in-shore fishing, fresh water fishing. . I've taken it on trips to Hawaii and Mexico. I've bought some for family members as well. Sougayilang also has great customer service. I broke my rod on my last trip to Hawaii and I reached out to Sougayilang and they sent me a new rod right away.

I like this product portability but the line is very thin so when I went phishing the line broke very easy and I lost a few of my bait things.I think I can solve it by buying some heavy duty line.

I wanted to get back into fishing but didn’t want to spend a ton. This was a great starter kit that gets you out there with just about everything you need. So far the quality has been good and I’m enjoying my purchase.Would recommend.

Wonderful product! Took a little bit to figure it out but once set up it’s easy to use! The carrying case is small and little bit hard to pack the rod into it, went fishing and was amazing! Was able to throw it very far and was very smooth when reeling it in!

Bought two of these poles for my grandchildren for Christmas. The whole idea was that they were transportable and came with a very nice carrying case. We could use them whenever and wherever. Well they came to visit us at shore this past summer and they brought their poles and we put them together. I was very pleased with the assembly process and the quality of the reel. Well it turned out to be a very windy week and we never were able to go fishing over by the bay. Well now the problem…..we cannot take the poles apart no matter how hard we try and other family members have even tried. We tried so hard that we broke one of the eyes and still no luck. Both rods were impossible to break down. We tried every idea on the internet including Sougayilangs suggestion which was also on the internet. I suppose other people have had the same problem with their poles. Nothing but nothing will break these poles down. The worst part of this whole deal is the company that supposed to have such great customer service has never ever returned one of my emails and there have been several and a phone number is impossible to find. I might add that these poles have never even touched water they are new never used. If you are thinking about purchasing fishing poles I would think twice about buying Sougayilang. There is no customer service regardless of what they say. I am one very very disappointed customer.

This was my first fishing rod, and it was a steal on Amazon! I mean, who wouldn’t buy it for such a low price? It was exactly what I was looking for - a cheap and functional rod. The build quality is incredible, and it’s so compact that it fits perfectly in my backpack. It’s so useful and convenient. And let’s not forget about the reel - it’s smoother than some of my more expensive rods!

The construction of the rod is cheap. Only used around 8 times and it broke in half after I snagged it once and was trying to free my hook. I lost the top half in the water. Never had a rod broke on me before. Will be going back to name brand.Only good is portability.Update: To 3 stars. The customer services was fast and no hassle. The company did send me a new rod. Which, I was thankful for. Unfortunately, after a couple of use, some sections of the new rod is now stuck in the elongated position. I have since stop using this rod.
