When I think of an outdoor camera I’m looking for something that is outdoor and wireless- not requiring a power supply. That need makes this impulse purchase because it was a Deal a mistake. The video is decent and setup was longer than expected. Ebitcam did contact me and offered a partial refund so I’ll compliment them on their customer service.

This camera loses it's connection EVERYDAY!!!!!!!! And in order to fix the problem you have to remove it from the app and set it up AGAIN!!!!!! BUT the only way it will work is if you connect it to the modem via cable. So you have to unmount it every time and plug it in and reset it. This no matter where you mount it. Above the door on your front porch or on the corner of the house. Either way it's a royal pain in you know what. Don't buy this camera unless you WANT to mess with it everyday!

I had my son-in-law put it up for me or I would send it back. It will not stay online. The software for this camera is junk.I don't know if there is a distance problem or what causes it to just shut off. There isn't anything on this product to tell you if there is a distance requirement. It only stays on for about three to four minutes and goes off again. Takes forever to get it to come back on, only to go off again in three minutes. Save your money and look for a better camera. I have high speed dsl internet connection, I don't think thats the problem.

Bought in April 2019.. lasted till july 2019. Started losing connection. So, walk out uninstall from the side of my shed, walk upstairs, plug into the router, do the entire install process, walk back outside, install on the side of the shed, 5 mins later. Losses connection... and repeat. Wifi card is junk, would work if you run ethernet from a router, which defies the whole point of s wifi camera..As for contacting Ebitcam.. goodluck. No answers back from email, which is the only listed contact. This product is junk.

Superb picture quality even at night. The setup was very confusing, took hours to figure it out. But after that no complaints, used my ipad as the monitor. Never used the motion detector mode, but i tried it out. So over all nice product for the price.

You need to buy a seperate card and if you have a problem you cannot return the card. Too many other good cameras on the market.

Very easy setup, power up, instal the app.connect to the WiFi router with the included cable, scan the QR code with the app and configure the camera

I bought the 720P version. Excellent video and night vision quality. Suggest you follow the ethernet setup instructions as WiFi is problematic. Once setup, no issues at all. With my micro SD card, you get 24/7 recording and all motion alerts are saved. For me, they are then automatically uploaded to my google photos cloud. Why anyone would pay for cloud storage or buy a $100 or more camera is beyond me. I will update this review after I see how it handles the -20C weather encountered in Manitoba.Update Aug 2018Had some issues with the SD card. Customer support was outstanding ! All is working as advertised again.

The instructions were badly translated to English but adequate enough to setup and test on the first day using the following a smartphone, Ebitcam app, and WiFi.The next day, it was time to install the camera outside, and this is where the product failed to turn on. Upon plugging the camera in, what I assume are the infra-red lights would stay on for approximately 60 s, and then the camera would be accessible through the smartphone app. Now, those lights quickly flickered, and the camera was no longer operational.Edit: due to exceptional customer service, the star rating was raised from 1 to 2, but I am no longer interested in this product.

The camera will be installed under my porch roof, it will be at least protected from rain and snow. Can't wait to see how it will function at -35°C.The images are somehow a bit grainy but still clear, day and night. I din't use the ethernet cable as I had no problem setting up the wifi and app and are working fine. The app is easy of use, but need to play around first to get comfortable with. Just find that some options could be grouped together under one setting in the app. When watching live stream, it lags from time to time. Motion detection works perfectly, I get notifications whenever someone passes by. I used the continuous recording mode, when I want to replay the video, motion detected sections are shown in a different color on the time frame. Useful, I don't need to go through the whole video.Inserting the SD card was easy, but had a hard time pulling it out, the opening size where the slot is is challenging for big fingers. Too bad the camera can't be tilted with the app, but at this price, it does the job for a specific spot surveillance.

This camera is very rugged and resistant, at an affordable price point.The main pros are:- Easy to pair- Tough construction- Nice appearance- Easy to use system and app- Very good video and sound quality- Good range (for wi-fi connection)- Robust temperature withstandingThe cons:- Requires external microSD- Can't be tilted or panned by using the phone appThis is my first outdoor-rated wi-fi camera. Could be better, but realistically speaking it is a tremendous value for the price.

First off, I am 38 and fully aware of technology. Several phones, tablets, Alexa's, numerous audio and video installs with Bluetooth, wifi and so on. So keep that in mind when you read the following.Instructions are painful! Will not connect to wifi. I have re set, uninstalled app. Changed modem too only run 2.4hz, and nothing. Have on wifi extender, with Ethernet cable plugged into it. Seems to be fine that way. According to manual there is some kind of speaker in this thing. Which is supposed to make notification sounds, but it's either not there. Or not working on my camera. "Key part of wifi install"As for picture quality. B- so far. I have not fully installed, only used during the setup. Seems to be ok, can't comment on the night vision as of yet.App is a little cheap looking. Hard to fig out a few things. This is definitely a Chinese unit, through and through.Going to do final installment tomorrow, have a 128gb micro SD in it. Hope it works as it says.Can't comment on the notifications yet, or how it picks up movement. I will check those over the next week of so.
