This seems to be a very well made stool. I say "seems" because I never put it together. I lifted the seat out out the carton and then the base and realized that it would be an extremely heavy stool once it was put together. That might be fine if you intend to leave it in one spot, but if you want to move it from desk to kitchen sink, for example, I don't think you'll be happy with the weight. It looks like it is very sturdy and well made though.The reason I removed one star is the customer service. I did receive notification within 2 days that I could return it to UPS at no charge, but being 87 transporting a 40 lb package (am estimating weight; nowhere is it listed in description) is difficult so I requested a UPS pickup. Am still waiting.

I use this as a video gaming chair and it is very nice. Keeps my core active and stops me from getting sleepy.

I’m 63-years-old and hoped this chair would help me improve my posture and reduce my back pain. I couldn’t find my point of balance and didn’t feel at ease. I probably didn’t give it enough time, My 7-year-old grandson however, needed no introductory period! He climbed up on it and happily began wobbling and spinning on it with ease so of course I kept it.

I bought this to sit on the belt of my treadmill for my standup desk with under-desk treadmill. Sometimes I simply want to sit instead of having to stand or walk. The pneumatic piston allows for varied height adjustment from full sitting to more of a well-supported lean.I wish there was a way to take off the skirt below the cushion down to the pedestal support. I don't need it, and it can pick up dirt from my feet depending on how I'm sitting on it.I also am not finding the cushion to be as comfortable as I'd hoped. While I can sit on it, it's not a suitable chair for extended (hours) sitting. Of course, that's not necessarily a bad thing because it does encourage me to stand up periodically, which I ought to be doing anyway...

Easy assembly -requires no tools. It’s adaptable and comfortable. I use it as a piano stool !!
