Excellent, but ...
Works perfectly - but only comes with instructions in German, plus pictures that only make sense if one has understood the German text! For selling this in the UK, the manufacturers clearly need to add English instructions. The belt boxes for roller shutters contain a spring that is under very high tension, so opening an old, damaged belt box can be dangerous, and working with a new box, including this one, likewise. The package warns of the danger (in German only!) and advises the wearing of safety gloves. For those who do not understand German, here is my translation [with comments by me in square brackets]:[Note carefully the route into the old case taken by the belt. Possibly take a picture of this to provide guidance on how to put it into the new case.]1. Totally close the roller shutter. Pull the roller shutter belt out of the casing [this is the bottom case, not the end at the shutter itself] and cut it off there. [This is the point of no return! Make sure that the belt is indeed fully out, as you might otherwise end up with a belt that is not long enough. Do not try to open the old case. When you cut the belt, the internal drum will spin round to release the spring tension. This is the bit that would be dangerous if the case were open.]2. Remove the old belt case [from the wall]. Screw the new belt case onto the wall or onto the window frame.3. Open the new case [not difficult, with a flat-head screwdriver] and fix the belt to the spring-loaded drum. [But first you need to have cut a slot in the belt about 2cm from the end of the belt. Make sure that the belt is not twisted. Insert it into the new case, under the brake mechanism and pull enough belt in so that the belt can go round the drum at least once and a bit. From the pictures note the direction in which the belt must travel, and hook the hole in the belt onto the hook on the edge of the drum, maintaining tension on the belt with one hand.]4. Carefully undo the safety lock on the spring-loaded drum and slowly let the belt roll up onto the drum. [You will need a sturdy flat-edged screwdriver for this. As well as the hook on the edge of the drum, where the belt is attached, there is a hook on one side, engaging with a lever on the side of the drum, to stop the drum rotating. With one hand outside the plastic casing, gently pull on the belt, so that the hook on the side disengages from the lever on the drum. With the flat-edged screwdriver, push that tab or hook down until it is flush with the side surface of the drum. There is no going back from this point. Now still controlling your grip on the belt, slowly let it slide in as the drum pulls it, wrapping it round the drum. When the spare length of belt has been wound onto the drum, it can be released.] Close the drum.[Test. It should just work, to open the blind (with the spring-loaded drum pulling the belt into the container) and to close it or partially close it at any height, with the brake in the case holding the belt in the desired position.]

Good replacement
Was almost identical to the one that existed that was broken. No instructions included except pictures that really meant nothing.Soon worked out that the rewind spring was fully wound and yo had to bend a tap out of the way to make it recoil

Replacement for original
Used this as a replacement for a shutter hatch in a community building. Construction is good and is easy to install bit fiddly winding the tape onto the drum. Purchased the replacement tape at the same time as it comes as a bare unit. Needed the narrow one to fit in a tight position all the others were wider.
