The best lanyard to secure your underwater camera. The spring clip leaves you enough length to extend your arms fully. I've seen divers losing there camera while only using the wrist lanyard the camera is usually coming with. Don't do the same mistake. It's a 1000 times worth buying it.

This lanyard’s thick spring-cable is coated in plastic like many similar items. It is also encased in 1” nylon webbing. Thus, this lanyard is thicker and bulkier – I’m unsure if I like this feature. Even though the seller states the spring is corrosion resistant stainless steel I am somewhat concerned about the webbing concealing or contributing to hidden issues, especially if it remains wet for a prolonged time.I ordered (“Yum Yum”) Yellow which is very bright, bordering on fluorescent. The stainless steel spring-loaded clip has a robust wire gate that seems fairly unlikely to inadvertently open. A plus: the clip is swivel-mounted. The plastic Fastex-style buckle is also robust, and works smoothly with only one hand. It does not have a split-ring attachment point, a “con”.The seller advertises it as suitable for climbing. I strongly urge that it only be used to attach accessories (camera, nut tool, etc.) – and never, never, ever for potential fall load-bearing (i.e. lead climbing or as a belay anchor point).My next planned dives are 5 months away so until then I am unable to fully evaluate this lanyard. It seems like a quality lanyard so until I can actually dive with it, give it 4 stars. Depending on real-world performance, I may change this rating next summer.

We attach this to our buoyancy compensator (or sometimes to the weight belt) to prevent loss of an underwater camera, dive light or slate.We found it easy to disconnect and reconnect devices while underwater. This lanyard is strong and can be trusted.This is an innovative, sturdy and well made product, and a good value.
