Pretty cool delay
I had been looking for a delay pedal to use on my bass that was similar to the MXR Carbon Copy delay I use in my guitar pedal board, but that was less expensive. This worked out very well! It has a pretty wide range of delay times and regenerations, and they change quite a lot with just a slight adjustment of the knobs. I like the options the 600 and 1100 ms switch gives. It's fun to flick it back and forth while sweeping the knobs, it makes some great noises! It looks very nice too, super shiny. I'm a little concerned about how sturdy it is, the metal housing seems a bit thin, but if I'm careful with it, it should be fine. Still better than plastic! There is a bit of an audible click sound that gets through when I engage/disengage the pedal, but it's not too bad. One definite difference I noticed between this Biyang delay and my Carbon Copy is that even when I make the delay sounds go crazy and oscillate, any new notes I hit while it is cycling can be heard fairly clearly before they fall into the swirling cyclone of noise I am forcing it to generate. With my Carbon Copy, anything I add after the chaos starts is instantly mixed in and impossible to differentiate. It's a cool pedal and definitely a good deal for the price!

Best delay I've ever owned.
I have been through a half dozen delay pedals and took a chance on this pedal. It's been on my pedal board for 8 years ! It originally replaced an old arion analog delay. The dd-6 I have is good for rockabilly, but not long airy delays. The carbon copy is just awkward in the length of the phrase being repeated and the harshness of the first repeat as it's sometimes louder than the original even when the mix is turned down to 9 o'clock. The Ibanez analog delay just wouldn't get me there. This biyang is switchable between 600 and 1100 m/s, and the first repeat is the "right"volume. This pedal is double the width of a standard pedal, but unless I can get the same exact thing in a single wide housing, I can't replace it. It does "stranglehold" really well and can be Floyd-y if you want.
