Good set
I brought this to get some better photos of my kids, brilliant set up and simple to use. Happy with it

Compact carry bag with all you need
This is a fairly well built portable backdrop. Being portable it's a necessary compromise between functionality and portability. As long as the model isn't too tall, then this is good, if you are shooting someone with tall headgear, or posting with arms in the air you may find it challenging. For half and headshots this is ideal. It's not super heavy but you still are aware of its weight. There are necessary reductions in sturdiness compared to a studio rig, but it's still good and durable enough for you not to worry. All in all it balances functionality, size and price reasonably well.

Quick and easy to erect and breakdown
Shortly after receiving this backdrop stand I was asked to take some passport photos so thought I would give it a test run. From unpacking to setting it up took no more than 10 minutes, and an even shorter time to break it down and pack it away. The only issue I had was with the polyester backdrop sheet. The manufacturer had decided to fold it and, in my opinion, would have been better rolling it around a tube. I could not use the backdrop sheet as provided due to all the creases in it from the folding. I managed to get many of the creases out and have rolled the backdrop up for storing. This also gave the added advantage that it fitted better into the carrying bag.The carrying bag is worth mention as it is made from strong material and has three full length pockets: two for the two side frames and the centre pocket for the cross member and clamps. The clamps are very strong, so do not let any little fingers get caught in them!

Light weight and unstable
This kit contains two stands and a telescopic cross bar which make up the frame, a white polyester cotton backdrop and four clamps. It is contained in a carrying case which is made from quite strong and tough material. Unfortunately the bag and the clamps are the highlight of the the kit.The stands are in three sections and extend to 6’8” (203cm). They have two thumb lever locks that allow for adjustment of the upper two sections. The tripod base of the stand has the usual braced locking mechanism and as usual is fiddly to get the legs out. Once you do get the legs out and fully extended they lock in place with a thumb screw. The cross bar is made up of two telescoping sections that fit together with a push button like you would find on a tent pole. Each section has an outer tube and a sliding inner tube. This makes it adjustable for width, extending to a maximum of 6’7” (200cm) between the holes for the stands. BUT there is no way to lock the cross bar into position ( unless you have it at its narrowest width, defeating the object of having a telescopic pole! ) so you can’t put any tension on your backdrop. Some kind of lock would have been nice. The backdrop is not as wide as the frame, but more than the frame’s narrowest position, so as mentioned above it is not possible to tension the backdrop using the clamps. And because of the nature of the material it creases easily. However if you can put tension on it the creases will disappear. The top of the backdrop has a pocket to slide the cross bar into which is a nice to have if you are only going to use the one backdrop. I prefer to clamp my backdrops to the bar so that they can be changed quickly.Assembling the supports and backdrop is straightforward but again it can be fiddly due to the lightweight nature of the stands and the constantly moving cross bar! Whilst adjusting the cross bar width it is far too easy to pull the stands over. Likewise while trying to tension the backdrop.Once fully erected it doesn’t fill me with confidence that it will stay there, especially when I’m trying to do a pet photo shoot with an excitable puppy running around.I consider it to be only useful for indoor shoots with a well controlled subject who is unlikely to knock the support or for still life projects. Even then I would strongly consider adding sand bags or something similar to the stands to help them stay put.Everything is quite well made and nicely finished, I just wish the stands were more stable! At the price point, currently £49.99 I was expecting something more sturdy than this, maybe not top professional quality, but certainly a lot more rigid than this is.If you want it for occasional use it will do the job, but there are cheaper alternatives out there.

Portable and easy to set up
This backdrop stand kit is a great addition to my photography setup. The aluminum alloy construction ensures stability, and the adjustable height and width offer flexibility for various shooting scenarios. The white backdrop is durable and less prone to wrinkles. The entire setup is portable, making it easy to transport and set up for on-location shoots.

Handy portable backdrop frame
This portable backdrop frame is ideal for a variety of uses. You could use it for a photo booth backdrop at parties, for filming or photography, and possibly for projecting onto. The frame is lightweight and fairly easy to set up and pack away, although we would recommend having another pair of hands to help you.Everything you need to set up a white backdrop is included. Components store inside the carrier bag which has hook-and-loop tabs to securely close the carrier bag. It also has two convenient handles for carrying. The included backdrop is a piece of lightweight fabric that is slightly sheer/see-through. This allows you to backlight it, if you're wanting that effect. (The frame is also suitable for use with other backdrops such as shimmer curtains however please note that you would need to purchase these separately.)My only recommendation is that the backdrop arrives folded and I recommend you steam it to uncrease it otherwise we found that the fold lines do show, even when we clamped the backdrop to the frame. But this is a very simple issue to rectify and we recommend either keeping a portable steamer on hand or rolling it when storing.

Good but needs ironing each time its used.
Great starter kit for a portable setup or a good budget option for a static backdrop. The included instructions are useless but its pretty easy to figure out what your doing. The cloth sheet feels of ok material and the light does get absorbed well. The included tripods are good for holding up the sheet but that's about all as they are a little flimsy feeling however they look to be standard lighting tripods so could be replaced if one was to break. The clamps that are included are probably the best built part in the box as they are strong and have a good clamping force so they can pull the sheet tight. For a starter who has some time and patience to play around to experiment this is a great kit but there are some parts that could be of a better quality.
