If your raising calves, this product is a must have!Normally a product like Re-Sorb is all you need for scours to flush their system out but sometimes you will run into an e-coli issue which needs to be dealt with using antibotics & probiotics! This product contains the probiotics you need to help stop the e-coli poisoning and restore the good bacteria in their digestive system after using antibiotics!Trust me, I've been raising dairy calves (Jerseys) professionally for more than 30+ years and without the probiotics it can be quite the struggle or impossible to save the calf from e-coli!Just make sure you have this product on hand because shipping is quite slow and your sick calf will certainly be dead before it ever arrives so stock up on it before its needed!*** Just some tips ...- Pepto-Bismol also helps with scours just in case your not aware of that fact (being using it for decades).- Calf jackets help with retaining body heat during the winter months which increases your odds of success.- Also, a heat lamp will work wonders if the calf jacket isn't enough and the calf is confined to a small pen.- Walking the calf (exercise), assuming the calf can stand, will help get its blood circulating which makes the antibiotics & probiotics work much quicker than if it just lays down all day!

I love this brand of electrolytes because you can mix in with the calf's milk & feed on its own in water. I haven't found many other brands that are allowed to be put into milk.

Electrolytes are important to keep on hands at all times when raising bottle calves. We love Bluelite and it is a great value for the amount that you get.

It's a favorite flavor for my four legged companions. I buy it in the tub because I have a bunch of goats. It does eventually go grainy due to humidity so I recommend keeping the lid on tight. Buy in smaller sizes if you only have a few goats.

This product worked great for my scouring Holstein calf. I was buying the single pouches at the feed mill, but they were almost $3/pouch and only makes one bottle. This is way cheaper and now I have some on hand if I have any more calves get the scours. I fed both of his milk feedinsg, fed one bottle of this between his milk feedings and one bottle before I went to bed. He never showed any signs of dehydration even though he was scouring for quite a while (we found out it was the milk we were buying causing it). It does turn the water blue, but the calf doesn't seem to mind. He sucked that down as quick as he did his bottle of milk.

This is the best electrolyte in our 25 years of dairying. This is palatable and even sick calves drink it. Calves often bounce right back.
