I got really impressed with the simple and clear way to explain complex things, I have really enjoyed reading and drawing following the book.

Got this as a christmas gift for my daughter who has just wanted to start drawing. She also likes anime so I figured these images would be interesting, and she likes it!

Bought this for my Granddaughter who likes to draw. She loved it!

Great for anime drawing practice

The media could not be loaded.  This book teaches readers how to view and understand the fundamental art principles of the human body and anime specifically. My daughter's sketches have improved tremendously after just a few hours of reading and practicing. I can recommend this book to any aspiring manga artist without hesitation.The illustrations are large and clear and the steps to each are easy to follow. The artwork is original well-executed and exciting. There are loads of visuals and great images in this book. I love how it is broken into sections to explain how to make characters have different emotions, body angles, hair styles, etc. The images are large enough to trace with tracing paper so my daughter can begin to get a feel for the correct angles and proportions of the character's features.Overall this is a very nice looking book with some good, sometimes challenging principles for the more advanced artists and plenty of ideas to keep them busy!

My son whom I brought this book for Xmas , says he loves this book and is helping him improve his drawings. I'm happy for him and will buy more in this series.

Ein recht großer Teil dieses Buchs besteht aus Referenzbildern...Weiter finden sich Zeichenstrategien, die man aber auch schon etliche Male an anderer Stelle gesehen hat und Beispiele unterschiedlicher Ausdrücke/Emotionen des Gesichts.Der wesentliche Punkt Realismus näher zu bringen, kommt (auch auf den Titel referiert)meiner Meinung nach zu kurz.Auch bekommt man beim Durchblättern den Eindruck, alles ist absichtlichsehr groß dargestellt, um Seiten zu generieren.Ich persönlich bin nicht sicher, ob ich es nochmal kaufen würde und rate deshalbzu anderen Büchern und/oder kostenlosen Video-Tutorials,welche dann auch meist umfangreicher und bestenfalls auf deutsch erhältlich/vorhanden sind.(Anm.: Dieses Buch ist ausschließlich englisch!)

This book is excellent for learning the Art of drawing Anime, The directions are very clear and easy to follow, the graphics are beautiful. My granddaughter was so exciting when she opened the book, her passion is drawing and Anime so both are satisfied with this book. I would highly recommend it.

It’s very good if you don’t know the basics of anime and anatomy it helps you know where the eyes or facial features are and if you don’t understand what a anime body is supposed to look like it’s very good I’d say though it’s not the best of you wanna be really advanced but helps you learn the minors
