When our search began, we wanted to replace a 2-shelf wider bookshelf with something narrower and taller. There are a lot to choose from, and some IMO overpriced. When I noticed this shelving unit, it looked solid, and the majority of the reviews were complimentary of the form and function. What surprised me was a well-packed, well-designed product that was remarkably easy to assemble. Everything in the box was well packed and without blemish. The shelves were made of high-density material and laminated on every face with an attractive faux wood-grain material. The metal sides were sturdy with the horizontal pieces welded. The sides arrived in two pieces for each side; an upper and a lower. For the style we had chosen, our frame was satin black and the shelves were a dark walnut tone. To strengthen the metal frames, there was a cross-brace to add to the back. The assembly instructions were remarkably concise and were printed on a material that couldn't be ripped. Finally, all the hardware was individually packed, and the packing also included a small crescent wrench and two Allen wrenches. Oh, and for each hardware item, there was an extra part. Nothing is perfect, but my only difficulty was (1) not reading the instructions and assuming I knew what to do, and (2) not having another set of hands to help with the assembly (as recommended in the instructions). Still, from opening the packaging to having a complete bookshelf in about 45 minutes. It might have happened more quickly if our 3-year-old granddaughter hadn't come in repeatedly to put the refrigerator magnets on the metal sides WHILE I was still working things out ... actually, that was the best time of the whole project. That's about it. No, I don't own the OTK company, but I am very satisfied with what they designed and sold to me.

This 5 tier shelves storage is pretty good for the price.I’m using it to place some figures that I got but , you can use it for books or plants or anything you might need some storage for . The assembly was pretty easy it’s quite sturdy it’ll be really sturdy is you place it amongst your wall. So I would definitely buy it again maybe the 6 tier one next time you’ll be pretty happy with it for the price compare to the ones from target that look alike but cost double or more .This one those the job .

It’s a great product and easy to put together! I only deducted one star because a hole was missing and I couldn’t put a screw where it needed to go. Otherwise, delivery and assembly were a breeze!

Ordered 3 for our hobby room, they are easy to assemble,and I like that the shelves are adjustable to your needs. They are extremely sturdy they are holding hundreds of pounds of enclosures and so far so good. I love them, they are beautiful shelfs. Very highly recommend!!

This is the first bookcase that I bought that isn't the traditional wood - or wood looking kind. But I love it. The bars on the sides are the right height for the books to rest against, and it is a classy looking shelf.Easy assembly with easy to follow directions and the parts were labeled well. Very happy with my purchase.

Super impressed with this shelf unit. Bought specifically to hold board games. If you are a board game fan, this will make sense . . . the shelves are the perfect size for the standard square board game boxes (ie. Ticket to Ride). Easy to assembly. Steel tubing is very sturdy, but it also comes with an easy way to attach to the wall to prevent tipping. Overall, attractive and perfect for what I needed. UPDATE: Ended up ordering another one for my wife's craft room. The shelves are the perfect size to store her "stuff" (a standard sewing machine, a serger, embroidery machine and Cricut).
