Very expensive but works okay

I tried every enzymatic carpet cleaner on the market, and still only got the several stains my puppy’s one week of diarrhea had left on my WHITE living room rug removed to about 60%...then I soaked the rug in a highly concentrated oxy-clean solution, which took them all to about 90%... but there was still a faint but obvious ring of color difference around the outside edge of where I’d soaked each stain-area. At this point, the stains were about 2 months old, so I was worried the brown outlines would never come out regardless of miracle product.I read all the promising reviews, and purchased! Who cares if the bottle leaks (as some reviewers state)? Perhaps that’s an irritating factor when you have minor or routine stains to remove and you want a non-messy bottle to use on the regular. But when you’re heartbroken over a centerpiece of your home being ruined beyond hope and you’ve devoted hours scrubbing and invested probably $100 in others products - just pour it on the carpet, or buy a $2 spray bottle to transfer it into! Yes, it leaks. I care not. Because my stains are not only GONE, but they were gone in SECONDS. I followed the instructions - spray, wait ten seconds, dab up excess, vacuum when dry... the stains disappeared AS I WAS SPRAYING. Not only that, I noticed as I was down on my knees to spray, that a slight odor was still present despite the other cleansers, and that is now done as well! Nothing but fresh and clean. I now keep 2 bottles in the pantry at all times, just in case they ever stop making it. And I hope they don’t! Thank you!

Buying this product was actually an act of desperation. We had a HUGE stain right in the middle of the living room carpet – source unknown. OK, there were several grandchildren with all manner of goodies, and that cute little Yorkie puppy who was still being house-trained. Would you believe it? Nobody spilled or piddled on the carpet. Nobody!! But, there it was.Since that fateful weekend, I have cleaned the carpet twice myself, had a professional carpet cleaner do it once, and personally scrubbed the carpet with a couple of well-reviewed spot cleaners. It always looks like it’s gone, and then it reappears in a few days. My husband and I have been talking about new carpeting. I have also looked into buying a large area rug to cover it. So, when I saw this Bissel Oxy Stain Destroyer Pet Plus, I figured, what do I have to lose? Goodness knows, the price was right.It took me about half an hour to spray the spot thoroughly, completely draining the can. Following the directions faithfully, I used my Hoover Deep Cleaning machine to agitate and then extract the solution. Then, once more with my machine on the RINSE cycle. I overlapped onto the surrounding clean carpet and noticed that the dirty water tank wasn’t taking in dirty water until I hovered right over the spot and then the water got dirtier and dirtier. Apparently the solution loosened something way down deep and then my machine sucked it up.The carpet is dry now. There are no residual chemicals left in the carpet. It didn’t change color or shrink. We have walked on the “spot” repeatedly to force the shadowy spot to reappear. So far, so good. My husband says out loud what I fear to even whisper, “I think we got it!”

If I could give this ten stars, I would! I rescued dogs and cats for years, so am well-versed in trying to get stains out of carpeting. Most of the time, products worked well enough, but never seemed to get it all clean. Finally had hardwood floors put in, so no more problem - then, we moved. Our house has carpeting and we have three dogs - two of whom are older, so we have accidents.When I saw this on Vine, I decided to try yet another carpet pretreatment/cleaner. The difference was amazing! The first time I used it, I could actually see the spot disappearing! It also has a very nice scent - not overpowering and sweet - refreshing. It also took out the urine scent after pretreating and cleaning. That makes this a ten star product!Vacuum, spray spot - wait for it to start removing the spot (if it does not work completely, re-spray same spot) - then, use a carpet cleaner to get the rest out. I use a Little Green Machine for my spots; works very well. Easy as can be and excellent results. This is a product I will always keep on hand.I recommend this to anyone with pets who have accidents on carpeting - it really works!!

For what it's worth, I rarely write reviews. But this product is so amazing, I had to share it with others. Don't hesitate to get this-- it works! I almost bought a $20 stain remover due to my desperation, but I'm so glad I tried this first. My dog has a habit of repeatedly vomiting in the same spot on our white carpet. No matter how hard we tried to clean it and no matter what we used, there was always a faint stain left behind. This most recent occasion, we didn't see that she had puked and it was there for over a day; this stain was NOT coming out. I ordered this not really expecting it to work, but it was like magic. The stain literally disappeared within seconds, and you don't have to do ANYTHING. Much to my surprise, the instructions tell you to spray the stain and that's it-- no scrubbing or elbow grease required. I wish I had taken before and after photos, but I didn't know I'd be so excited about stain remover. Also, something I've experienced with so many stain removers is that the stain often returns even once it seems like it's gone. It's been a week now, and we're still stain free. Praise the stain removal Gods and buy this product.

Our dog is a presa canario who we rescued from a breeder at 8 months old. She is now a year and still is having trouble consistently peeing outside and NOT on our bedroom carpet. I used this stuff on the spots that she left on the carpet that were fresh - and the stain and the smell are gone. I first blotted up the urine with a towel and then saturated the area with this spray and it was awesome. My hand was sore - it was a lot of spraying - but it worked. And she has not re-peed in that area again and it's been a couple weeks. I used the rest of the bottle that same day to treat some dried urine stains in the same carpet - stain and smell are gone and she hasn't re-peed there, either. Then I realized I was supposed to use a carpet cleaner with it. I did not and it worked great.
