Nova9037 Fence Accessory for The Voyager DVR Drill Press

Works well on the voyager, although the clamping levers take some getting use to. I replaced mine with thumb screws which is a bit friendlier to use.The fence is very good, square to the table and easy to take off and on. Worth it if you own a Voyager..

This product seems like a nice design. The ability to quickly snug, loosen, adjust, and snug again is nice. Unfortunately if using this in combination with a Nova Voyager drill press, go do the following first before you purchase. I was caught by surprise so now I'm warning you first.1. Look closely at your drill press table. Are the sides of the drill press table perfectly flat?2. Are the sides Also square to the surface of the table.3. Are the grooves at the back of the table actually perfectly parallel (get a good measurement here) to the side of the table?4. Did you also check the front face of the table to make sure it is also flat and square to the top?Here is why I bring this up: If you want a fence, it's likely because you want some degree of repeatability or control, which translates to a degree of accuracy. The front and side faces on my table were wavy like like ripples in a pond. The slots were not parallel to the sides of the table. When I tried to snug the fence, if i put a square on the side, I didn't have a good reference face. This resulted in one side showing the fence as square and the other side showing the fence as out of square (without moving the fence and only checking square from the opposite side). The same was true when I tried to check depth of the fence against the front face. I had to mill the table to fix Nova's fabrication issues before the fence worked like it was supposed to.^^ If you are not buying this for a Nova Drill press and you are happy with your drill press table, I think this is a good fence and you will enjoy it. The reason that I wrote the commentary above is that there is a good probability that a Nova drill press owner would buy a Nova fence. In that case, Please check your table or you're likely to be surprised or frustrated when you realize you can't get your fence square.I left my comments on the Nova DVR Drill Press here on Amazon too. Please review if you're thinking about purchasing the drill press, it lists out pros and cons; it's not a rant. Please understand that this is a review geared toward people that like accuracy and expect their tools work as intended.

Table is nice and big and flat. The fence sucks! Very hard to move around and it only moves to about the last 1/3 of the table.

This fence is fantastic. It is simple, square, straight, and easy to use. The set up took only minutes. The cut out for the chuck allows close to the edge drilling. I have been easily able to get consistent holes 3/4” from the edge and side with 5/64” bits. This thing is light but very rigid. Easy to move with the ratchet handles.

Perfect companion to an excellent drill press. I was more lucky than one reviewer on here. My table seems to be near perfect.

The fence itself is very nice but the movement within the slots on the nova voyager is not great! Really have to work to get the fence to move in the slots. Otherwise, it is a great accessory to the nova voyager drill press.

What else needs to be said, not worth the asking price. Sent it back for a refund.
