I bought this salad shaker because I was tired of having lots of large, expensive bottles of salad dressing in the fridge. It’s hard to toss a $5 bottle of dressing, even after I find out I don’t like it. I wanted to try making my own dressings, but only enough for a meal or two because I like variety.This shaker is very well thought out. It easily makes 8 oz. of dressing, and the mixer insert helps emulsify the ingredients. It’s sturdy, seals tight, and is easy to clean. It’s easy to hold while shaking, and the handle removes to pour thinner sauces easily.3 recipes are printed on the outside, and I’ve tried two so far. The French Dijon vinaigrette is good and is easy to keep mixed because of the insert. The Ranch dressing was a real winner. I think I’ll probably thin the dressing a bit, which will give me enough for 3 meals and make the mixing a bit easier - it’s pretty thick.Overall cost to make each dressing was less than a dollar, and I have lots more room in the fridge. This shaker is a winner.

Use it to make vinaigrettes, with olive oil, herbs and powdered spices. Mixes my concoctions surprisingly well to a frothy consistency, so stays mixed long enough to poor on salads. Very pleased with this item. Easy to clean and reassemble.

I just love this salad dressing shaker. I always make my own salad dressing and this one works great. It has measurements on the outside which makes it easy to follow recipes. It also has basic recipes printed on the outside of the shaker which I have tried 1 of them and it was really good. The handle makes it easy to open and shake when needed, no mess. The inside whisk is a great addition when you are adding in ingredients like mustard or spices to help get it mixed well. It also pops out for easy cleaning. I have 2 other salad dressing mixers and by far this is the best one, its so much easier to mix and clean with no oily mess. I like this mixer so well I am getting one for my daughter in law.

It is a great engineering design. I like making my own salad dressings & this is better than what I was doing before. Using a jar & then trying to use a ladle which got pretty messy. I will say that the jar leaks a little bit when I shake it to mix. It could use a gasket where the lid screws onto the jar. I've already made the Ranch dressing that is on the jar & it is absolutely the best!!

This is a high quality, simple to use salad shaker. It even has recipes printed right on the both! Simply add ingredients to the fill lines marked on the bottle, shake and you’re ready to go. Elegant design stores easily in the fridge for future use. I especially like it’s smaller size since I generally mix dressings for immediate use and don’t want to store too much. But even beyond dressings, it has many different applications. It’s quickly become one of my favorite tools!

I've had this item for a month or so. Why I bought it, this model of dressing mixer appeared to be fairly practical and looked good as well. I liked that it also had a little plastic thingy to emulsify the dressing inside the jar part. The quibbles for this product are two things; the main lid is difficult to remove when oil is around the rim. Although it is not supposed to be mess, dressing mix can ooze out of the special handle lid when you remove it. Make sure you tighten the handle well as it wants to come loose as you shake/ mix. The other issue is that the printing on the outside has washed off. It originally had helpful lines for the oil and vinegar and recipes for basic dressings types. That is not a huge deal breaker but I have glass measuring cups that after many years still have detectable lines, so I know it is possible to have it all. For a while when I couldn't get the lid off to fill the jar, I was able to pour my ingredients in the little opening meant to dispense the dressing. It worked but not as glamorous as the price demanded.
