So far I have use the unit to see what our house mouse (Mice) are up to an arrange to evict them humanely plus the goings on wih feeding habits of squirrels and birds closeup on the bird table. The 8 batteries last quite some time considering they are just cheap types.I suppose rechargeables may be an option. A 6v.2amp external socket could be used but this would limit freedom of movement.The extras supplied are a big bonus.32gig memory card. long webbing strap plus a screw in base to fix to wall or use as a stand.12 months warranty what else could you ask for at the reasonable price paid .The images are all Jpegs in daylight.Videos may be too big for this review. Now at the end of November, the camera has failed.It no longer reads the SD card despite never being removed from the camera ,I have had nearly a year of use and enjoyment though and unless the seller honors the warranty by contacting me with good news about repair I will buy my second one elsewhere.

Brought this camera so that I could view hedgehogs in my garden about 3 months ago . The sd card only registers every know and then and camera has failed to take any pictures at night . I have tried adjusting time frame and time lapse but still nothing happening . Dont waste your money as seller doesn't respond to messages
