Corporate Finance: Core Principles and Applications (Mcgraw-hill/Irwin Series in Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate)

Purchased because it sounded like it came with Connect access. It does not. Without Connect, the book was no use to me so I had to return and purchase elsewhere.

Typically wouldn't write a review on a text book, but I used this book for my financial management class and really enjoyed it. It made some complex topics fairly simple, and always had good examples and explanations. Recommend.

This book is riddled with typos. It doesn't present the concepts in clear ways, mainly because the authors will use four or five different terms to mean the same thing. It reads like the four authors wrote bits and pieces for each chapter and just crammed all of it together without much time for editing. The sample questions are not solved in a way that makes any sense, and the questions at the end of each chapter are worded terribly as well as being much more complicated than what is presented in the text. It is simply a horrible book. I also had to purchase Essentials of Corporate Finance 7th edition by three of the four authors of this abomination, and it is a far better textbook. Same exact concepts but presented more succinctly. I don't know why any professor would use this book.

This would have been an excellent rental if it came with the connect access code. The book is in great condition but not as useful without the accompanying access code.

I needed it to complete my Graduate Finance course. The wording in the book is very confusing. Myself as well as other class members were constantly confused on the concepts and formulas used in the text. This may have been due to the instructor's teaching method, but I know I did not walk away feeling comfortable in this subject just based off of the reading.

In all my days, I have never had a text book that was so horrible as this. The questions aren't clear, the answers don't explain the steps from point "A" to point "B," and no matter how you try to read it, the book will NEVER flow in a progressive, obvious way as every other text book I have ever read.I can't help but question my professor's judgement in selecting this book....

Had to buy for school (MBA). Materials/concepts seem to be easy enough (with a half way decent professor) as I never cracked open the book to actually use it.

It's great: fast and easy :) and the book was in great condition.
