Samsung UBD-M7500/XU 4K BLURAY PLAYER
Amazing product for the price asked.Reduced to £129.00.I've seen this online today for £330.00 at Littlewoods.Avg seems to be around £200 at the moment.Very happy to grab such a bargain.I assume the lack of wifi has made this machine really unpopular almost to the point of being infamous for 2018 4k spinners.Getting on to the positive....picture with my Samsung paired tv is spot on.I did have the Panasonic 4k 700 model below the thx certified flagship model.Only had that a year & it died after the last update it had.I paid £400.00 for it brand new & i prefer this Samsung model. In my opinion the picture from this player is actually better.I suspect i got lucky by matching the player with the same brand tv.Doesn't always work but high five to Samsung.Sound quality isn't as appealing as my previous model but it certainly isn't bad. It's actually rather good but without such an impressive soundstage for music, compared to the panasonic.Paired with a Canton DM.75 soundbase films fill the room with effects and dialogue remains focused & clear.Spotify sounds great but doesn't sparkle. The picture however has all the bells & whistles & really pops.Everything really comes alive & leaps from the screen even minus 3d.The remote control is a massive leap ahead over the Samsung remotes of the last few years. It's actually rather premium for a plastic point n shoot job.Comfortable to hold in the hand & reasonably stylish too.If you can get past no wifi & sound quality that is good but not impressive then the picture alone is worth the price, together with all the smart apps one could want for the uk apart from NowTV this is a steal.Uses the Tizen menu found on 2017 Samsung TV Sets.8.5/10.....easy.If there was wifi & top flight sound it would be an easy 10/10 from me.

Does what you would expect and at a good price
Very good for the price - £129 for a 4k blu-ray player and 2 4k movies is decent (The Last Jedi and Amazing Spiderman 2).Easy to set up - literally plug and go. No Wi-Fi and this is clearly stated in the description.Looks smart, decent remote and gives a fantastic picture with 4k discs and upscaled Blu-Rays.

Great Player but comes with the Remote Control from Hell
There is nothing extra I can really add about the excellent features and quality of this product that has not been mentioned in other reviews. However what I will say is the remote control takes a lot of getting used to.I have found that if I don't click the buttons with a finger nail then all hell can break loose as the button gets stuck. As a consequence the power LED on the front panel flickers madly as it receives the signal and the device can get to a point where it eventually hangs forcing a restart. To prove it is the remote, if you cover the front of the remote or point it in a different direction then the signal stops and the LED returns to green but it is normally to late by that point. So if you're a nail biter then I'd maybe give seconds thoughts to this as the remote really is a headache. You may think after reading this then why give it 5 stars, the answer is simple, but you would need to own one to know why as I simply can't fault it other than the remote.

Noisy machine but very versatile
Smart and easy to use, great apps and sleek looking, only down side is that when I actually play a Blu-ray it is actually very noisy for some reason.

Not bad
The good:It plays 4k UHD. Tested with Logan and all seems fine. The HDR works also, though I wasn't that impressed with Logan in HDR, however this could just be the movie being largely shot in bland, dim light. You'd be hard pressed to notice it was in HDR were it not for the TV telling me it is, and also selecting the ultra colour gamut. The film is colour graded with an orange hue anyway so didn't make much use of this.It does upscale regular Blurays from 1080p very well. BVS looked almost like it was in 4k. I do only have a 49" UHD TV so maybe this is why.The remote is very tidy and uncluttered. Basic stop/pause play/FF/REW in easy reach which you can feel for in the dark when watching films with the lights low.The interface isn't bad, when you hit pause, all the codec info gets shown (7.1 sound, HDR, colourspace, resolution, etc)Netflix is a built in app.The Bad:It didn't play an old DVD RW disc which I had made on my PC using DVD Lab Pro. It ejected and said it wasn't supported. It seems to have some sort of copy protection working overtime as it played another DVD, so perhaps it's just DVD RW discs it doesn't like. I tested on my PC and Windows Media Player could play it. It's a shame as I have a large library of these discs which I spent ages converting my VHS tapes into and now I have to play them on my PC.The menu system isn't the best. It has tools which let you select the picture mode from things like "vivid / Standard" but this doesn't seem to do anything. I don't see the point in this since those are settings you would select from the TV menu.Other than that, no real gripes, but I've not really seen an expensive player to compare it to.

An absolute bargain for the price!
As a huge film fan, I've been biding my time to finally purchase a 4K Blu-ray player, and this swanky piece of Samsung kit has proved to be an absolutely brilliant buy. The picture is stunning, the sound is great (although I could do with getting a decent soundbar to make it sound better), and the sleek, smooth look of the player is another added bonus. Definitely something to recommend!

Great HDR Player
Wow such a new 4K player with the HDR technology it properly enhances even normal blu-ray films and further it boosts sound if you have a decent sound bar. Its a must have if you love your movies and want to see them at their best.
