Fell apart in less than a month
The designs on the sides of these sneakers began coming off like stickers just a few weeks after my son started wearing them. I suspect they they are not true Saucony sneakers. Regardless, the price is too high for such terrible quality shoes.

Lightweight, wondering about the bottom.
The shoe is very lightweight with a breathable upper. It looks just like the pictures. I think the regular price is super high for a kids shoe. What I am iffy about is how the bottom grip will hold up. There is a thin layer under the main bottom that makes the grip. The material is hard to describe. It's like foam but feels like it will wear out really fast. Only time will tell, but it's hard to imagine that part of the shoe will stand up to much use.

Quite nice - fit as expected - nice quality - velcro strap + elastic laces
Really exactly as shown - basic shoe - nice non-slippery tread.I think that children's shoes in particular are overpriced. But for under $30 I guess this is right in line with expectations.Color was a purple blue and they go on and off nicely - decent padding. Not for hiking or anything but all in all - good stuff!

Great light-weight running/athletic shoes for kids
We got the Big- kid size 4 shoe for our 9-year old. It fits as expected and is quite comfortable. They really liked the fact that the shoe felt "lighter than air" on their feet. Light shoes mean less fatigue, which is good for all day play. The color matches what you see in the product pictures accurately, and our kid liked the light blue a lot. The soles look like they'll provide plenty of grip to run around outside when playing with their friends. Durability is unknown right now as we haven't had them for very long, however any elementary age kid is going to go through a pair of shoes in a matter of months. The material isn't super thick but I'd wager it could last for one school year, about 9-10 months and then maybe in to summer if the activity level goes down a bit. By then your kid will most likely have outgrown them and need a larger pair. These are a bit more expensive than the Sketchers and whatnot at Target and Payless Shoes, but you get a fancy name brand, nice colors, very light weight, good comfort, and possibly better durability. Recommended!

Beautiful and well made kids shoes
I'm done with buying cheap sneakers for my kids- these cost more, but they are so much more durable and worth every penny! Saucony is a great brand and everyone in our family has a pair (or several) now. This Kinvara style is largely mesh on the upper and breathes incredibly well while still having a really thick and durable sole. This pair was for my 5 year old and they fit her perfectly, and the combination of elastic faux laces and the velcro strap make them super easy for her to get on and off on her own. She also loves the colors. Will keep coming back for more of this brand as the kids outgrow them!

Larger then expected
These are great sneakers and really popular for their quality . I got them for my 8 year old who wears a 4-4.5 in big kids . She has wider feet so I got the 4 big kid wide and they fit her comfortably but are a bit big on her they fit more as a 4.5 which is fine bc she can grow into them . They are easy to slip on and off and don’t need to be tied and have a Velcro strap . This helps with our busy summer and going on walks or bike riding so she can do it herself which she likes to do . The colors are pretty . the fabric breaths and the soles are padded and soft . The weight of the shoe is very light which ideal .

Ignore the "special size: 8-12 years" indicator
I'm not sure why these shoes say, "Special size: Big Kid 8-12 years." They fit the same as all other shoes sized the way they are (i.e. 4 year old son wears size 10 sneakers and the size 10.5 are slightly bigger than the size 10's he wears). The shoes are very lightweight and footbed feels well-padded and supportive. The soles are also very flexible and bend both directions, which is important for proper foot development. Very happy with these shoes!

My favorite brand of shoes for my son
This is the 3rd pair of Saucony shoes that I have ordered for my son. He typically wears out shoes very quickly, even before he outgrows them. But the first 2 pairs of Saucony shoes he had lasted until his feet were too big for them, so that says a lot about the quality of their products. These Kinvara 14 shoes have elastic shoelaces that don't need to be tied as well as a velcro strap at the top, so these shoes are very easy to put on and secure once the velcro is fastened. My son said they are just as comfortable as the other Saucony shoes he has worn, so I plan to stick with this brand for him.
