I fell in love with the Knight, it is just amazing, radiating a feeling of animal force.I would have preferred buying the chessmen only, as they deserve a slightly larger chessboard to my taste, that is why I don't grant full five stars for the combo.Not a big concern though, I shall spare the neopren chessboard for some other use.

The pieces are amazingly well designed! We love playing with this set a lot! the knights are our favourite! I wish I had gotten the roll up board version though. But the other one is good as well! love the proportions on each of these and the weight of each piece! Feels like chess when you play chess in it as compared to the staunton versions.

Killer deal, but I'd have paid even more for the knights alone. They're just the sexy beasts I was searching for. I mean, all the other pieces count, but let's be real, every chess set is about the horse. As for the rest - nice and heavy, sleek, high shine pieces. The board (I got the foldable cardboard) is - for what it is - fine. I'm not in love, BUT it's quite functional, and I'm going to try converting it to magnetic. If I ruin it, I won't care because I'll just get a silicone board in its place. The board was just a necessary part of the purchase equation. Anyway, kudos to the designer, and thank you for these sexy beasts.

I purchased this set mainly for the chess pieces.The board itself is an average foldable chessboard with print pasted onto it.The base of the chess pieces are solid so there's no way a fidgety student or friend might poke a hole through them.

I ordered the folding board but received roll-up board. I like the unique design of these pieces. The board did not stay flat for me. This board is has about 2 inch squares. I think you would do better with 2 1/4 inch squares. The balance of the Knights is a little too front heavy still decently stable.

nice chess set for kids or adults learning to play or already know how to play. it’s light so it’s good for traveling. the pieces are a little different but they’re nice. not expensive looking so if you want a nice set don’t get this one but if you want one for kids this is good to get.

Got this for a gift for Secret Santa. I was sold by how convenient it is to pack it and go. A little bigger than anticipated but other than that 5 starts <3
