A book full of wonder, with valuable lessons!
The ocean is full of wonder indeed, and I am glad to have come across this beautiful story, which not only reveals some of its splendors, but also draws attention to how fragile it actually is. Anna Smithers is a wonderful author, we loved “Tree Full of Wonder”. Her books are not only magical, but they also often reveal how the world should be, and what we can do to look after our planet and its vital ecosystems. The book has some of the most beautiful illustrations I have ever seen, so incredibly detailed and brightly colored, inviting young readers to discover the wonders of water. My opinion:As parents, we have an important duty, that is to show our kids how amazing and diverse our world is. I absolutely loved that Anna chose the ocean, speaking of its precious colors, the way it sings, and how it seems to go on forever. She manages reveals its wonders through beautiful words, teaching kids that life near the ocean is fun. With a natural style, speaking like a close friend, she invites them to use their imagination and see the ocean as the amazing body of water that it is. In her own words, the ocean is “full of joy and wonder”.Her book has an educational value as well, and I think all the children should be educated on the topics of climate change and environmental protections. Thanks to this lovely story, they can discover the role of the ocean, how essential the plants inhabiting it are, and how much our entire planet depends on this body of water. The words “precious water” gave me chills, as I think we are at a crossroad nowadays, deciding the fate of our planet. We need to teach our children, the future generations, that we must and should protect the ocean, before it is too late.I don’t want to give the entire book away, but I want to say that the author managed to approach important topics, including the one of plastic. She speaks of creatures that live in the ocean and how amazing they are, drawing kids with her beautiful words. Can you imagine what creature sings “a dreamy tale”? You will find the answer in the book. I was so happy to read it with my daughter, as it gave me the opportunity to talk about the best ways to make the ocean cleaner, which in turns will ensure the health of our planet. We should teach our children that each good action matters, the more, the better.Verdict:“Ocean Full of Wonder” is a beautiful book, one which reveals the beauty of the ocean, but also how it suffers because of us, with the author kindly offering suggestions on how we can help it heal. I am in love with the illustrations, which are so incredibly detailed and colorful. The educational value of this book cannot be forgotten, I am so thankful to the author for taking the time to research the topic of ocean health so in-depth. At the end of the book, you will find additional tips on how to look after our planet, I think these are more than useful, and we should all give them a try. From an author full of a wonder, a book full of wonder!

RESPECT OUR WATERY WORLD
I love how this author presents the ocean topic. Children learn about twelve examples of sea creatures that inhabit the ocean, and the life cycle of plant life that interact with them. Then the author discusses the problems that modern-day life has imposed on the oceans and the life within them. The author uses crisp rhymes with challenging vocabulary that is highlighted in colors that pop off the page. Human characters represent the many cultures that inhabit our planet and how they can work together to sustain it. At the end of the book, readers receive an opportunity to go back and identify the creatures they learned about in the story. Then the author presents them with tangible and actionable steps they can take now to protect our oceans and its resources. This interactive book should be part of libraries and classrooms. Parents who want to teach their children to be mindful of protecting our planet can count on this resource to put them on the right track.

Gorgeous important book!
The media could not be loaded. Wonderful rhyming picture book about the wonders of the ocean! This gorgeously illustrated book not only shows us how fun, beautiful, and amazing the ocean is and the fascinating creatures who live there, but also teaches littles about how important it is for all of us to protect and take care of the ocean and what we can do to help. There's also a fun spot the sea creatures activity! This book has an important message, but is also such a fun book to read - especially aloud! Kids (and their grown-ups) will love it for the beautiful and colorful images and rhyming prose. I also appreciate that the diversity of characters in the book - every child will be able to see him/her/themself in it. After all, no matter where we live in the world, we all need a healthy ocean!

One child at a time
This is a great book for children - i can appreciate all the art work, the rhymes and the message as an adult. Start young and keep the message going. No plastic! Pick up trash because the planet depends on us. Clear message, eye catching pictures, fun reading (rhymes) but also what to do at the end. Giving children something they can accomplish and be part of the solution.

Ocean loving, educational delight
Anna Smithers is not just an author, she is a true teacher and environmentalist who does not just write about it but take action. We love her books for children because she really knows her audience: the children we can educate with hope and a plan for a better future. In this book, she makes a rhyming story engaging and fun (kids especially love finding the sea creatures on each page) that also raises questions about the oceans and what we can do.

Educational with tips
The title and artwork are perfect. One part of the book shows us the wonders of the ocean, creatures, underwater life, and the mysteries in the dark of the deep deep ocean. Another part spreads awareness showing the wrongs we're doing but also adds positive points showing us how we can take responsibility and help save the ocean. There are some activities on the last pages.
