Survey pen
This works, and even in the harshest environment - ships!Diesel, hydraulic oil, salt water - this pen writes through anything, although the ink smudges a bit...

Does what it says on the tin.
Does exactly as is described.

Great pen, and the one-star people don't have a clue what they're talking about, or it's user error.
Been using these in my everyday pen for several years with no problems due to the pen itself. I hit the ball on something very hard once, and then had an inconsistent flow due to my own misuse. In my other many refills, I've never had an issue with flow or consistency; they've been amazing for me.Overall, I recommend them, and even though I'm currently out of the country I'll pay a little extra for a product that I've been happy with for many years now.

Bought as a present
It’s very expensive just for one cartridge (same goes for pen and pad) but they do genuinely work. It was bought as a novelty gift for a friend of mine and they loved it. Real shame about the price though. I guess you’ve got to live (or holiday, and I recommend you do) in the states to get the best prices.

Two faulty refills
I've bought 2 refills recently. The first smudges like crazy and the most recent one i bought, which i've been using for about 2 weeks, randomly stops working. The original pen i bought was writing perfectly for 8 years so I guess they've changed something.I want a replacement but can't find contact details for the company anywhere. Should have bought a pack of throw away pens instead :)
