Rock Paper Saurus!Rock, Paper Saurus is a great game created by Nutt Heads. For a very reasonable price, the box includes everything you need, with the exception of paper and a writing tool, to play three different card games with varying levels of difficulty. Everything included is well made and durable. The main components are:* An instruction booklet.* 60 Saurus/Dinosaur cards representing 20 dinosaurs from each period of the Mesozoic Era (Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous). Each of these cards has a numeric value from 1-10, an illustration of a dinosaur, its name, diet, a fact about it, a silly joke, and it’s suit/period.* 10 Rock cards, each of which contains information and illustrations related to the causes of the extinction of the dinosaurs.* 15 Paper cards with information and illustrations representing a variety of plants and living creatures that coexisted with dinosaurs.* 21 Action cards that have variables which can change your chances to win.* A dinosaur guide with details about each dinosaur in the game.Here is a simplified description of the here games: The instruction booklet is fairly clear. There are QR codes in the booklet to scan for videos on how to play each game. Unfortunately, at the time of my review, there is only access available for the Evolved Game. The other two indicate that they are private.The easiest game version is the Hatchling Game (ages 5+) which is quite similar to the card game War. It requires 2-8 players. This is played only with the Saurus cards. Winning a round is based primarily on the Mesozoic Eras. Card values and diet come into play when there’s a tie.The Evolved game is for ages 7+ and uses the Saurus, Rock and Paper cards. It requires 2-7 players. In this version, there is a draw pile and players try to beat the top card in that pile to win that trick/round and gain a point.The most complicated version is the Apex game (ages 10+). It requires 3-8 players. The Action cards are included and winning is based on matching suits and having high value cards. Players also need to estimate how successful they will be based on how many “tricks” they think they can win in a round.Not only are there multiple ways to have fun with this product, but there is a lot be learned. At one time, I thought I knew most of the dinosaurs that had been identified. Now, I’m amazed about how much new information is available. I recommend this item for anyone who likes playing card games and learning about dinosaurs.

What's not to like about a more advanced rock-paper-scissors game that also teaches about dinosaurs? We have a blast with this one, players aged 6 to 70 in our family unit, and all are able to keep up. Well made and educational, players don't even realize they're learning! Would also be good for classrooms.

Dinotes is a book with information and nice picutres of each dinosaur. Great for learning, and a true "extra" since it has nothing to do with game. Another "extra" that has nothing to do with the game are ten 3"x4" cards with great pictures of dinosaurs, front and back are different dinosaurs so a total of 20 different dinosaurs. Each picture has a QR code to scan; but these are very disappointing as None of the QR codes work :-(.Instruction manual comes with this game and is very good! It claims game is for 5 years to 65 million and the manual covers that! First game instruction is for 5-7 years old and is excellent and true for the ages. Second game instruction is for ages 7+. Third game instruction is for 10+. We have not yet tried games two and three. But I've never seen a game that can successfully be adjusted and played for such varying ages: basic to adult! This game is well developed! Our child just loves dinosaurs and eagerly took part in having to recognize the difference between numbers on the cards and also often counting to ten in order to figure out who wins the cards. He first played with just one adult and learned the game. Then he was able to play, same day, with four visitors he hardly knows. He still had a blast! Just an excellent game that truly works for age appropriateness.QR codes are in the manual for each game level and these do work. They show a short video of how to play each game. Very nice extra.It is awsome. Great learning of numbers, number order, individual dinosaurs, and different ages of dinosaurs all without even trying! Learning for adults, too!! Each dino card has a true color picture, the dino name with pronunciation (love this), and a short description of the dinosaur. Then, for fun, there is a short joke included on each dino card. Amazing!! Just a wonderfully thought-out, well developed game for truly all ages!Terrific price and excellent gift.

This game is a good way to spend some time while out with friends or family members. The game is instinctive, easy to learn, and is fun for kids and adults alike. I've played it with some of my college buddies while out drinking, and we've had a blast. The set comes with cards, stickers, and a little booklet with tons of fun pictures of dinosaurs everywhere. Since it is card based, it is small and easy to transport between locations, and is something you could easily take and play on a plane too. Pretty fun, you should give it a try.
