You Are My I Love You: board book

What I like most is that this board book for a toddler is illustrated as from a dad to his small child. It is wonderful because dads are important in their children's lives, too, not just mothers.

This book is so sweet. I loved reading it to my children when they were babies. It has become my favorite go to baby gift.

I first saw this book when my son was nearly grown up, so maybe that makes it even more meaningful to me. From that vantage point, I could see the whole arc of my experience of raising a child and celebrate how much I learned from him, at least as much as he learned from me, maybe more. While this book appears simple, it goes deep into the connection between children and parents. It especially rings true for me in expressing how many ways children need security from parents. And, just as important, how much a child opens profound new worlds to his or her parents.

This a baby shower gift to a friend having b er first child, a son. Reminded me of having my son years ago, to share this book with someone else.

This is my favorite children's book. I was gifted it when my oldest child was about a week old. When she was about 5 it became part of our bedtime ritual and I recited it to my kids every night for about 3 years. I can still quote it word for word.The story takes us through the motions of a seemingly ordinary day for the moma bear and her baby: a morning at home, a trip to the park, playing together, a snack after falling down, a swim, going home for bath, dinner and bedtime. The sequence of the day and the repetitive structure made it easy to remember and the love between moma and baby is clear.When reading or reciting my favorite line, "I am your dandelion. You are my first wish." I would squeeze my daughter tight each time. One day she asked me if she really was my first wish and I told her that she was. Last Christmas I bought us a mother/daughter dandelion necklace set which we both wear every day.

Such a sweet book for parent and baby! I love reading it to my newborn son. The rhymes are soothing when read out loud, and the meanings of the metaphors are so sweet. This has been such a special book for bonding with my baby boy.

Bought this book as bedtime story to read to our kids. Unfortunately didn't read the product information properly and bought it. But too small to read to 3 kids and for all of them to see the pictures properly.Didn't want to spend too much on the other book (bigger size - didn't know) and thus ended up with this one.My fault for not reading the production information properly!

Simply an amazing poem which is guaranteed to bring a tear to the eye of any new mummy. Make sure you're buying what you expect though as this product isn't a book, it's a postable, paperback, postcard thingummy.

very small but sweet book, would suit older child. Too fidly and impracticale for a 3 year old. had to return it. good service form seller though and prompt delivery
