Powerful and does a nice quick job.
I've never used a cultivator before but after digging my plot for the last 30 years or so I thought perhaps it was time to buy one. No dig gardening is becoming more popular nowadays but you still need to cultivate the top part and this seemed the ideal solution. I also had to purchase an extension lead as I have a lengthy plot. The 10 metre supplied lead isn't anywhere long enough for me but this was to be expected. The machine requires some simple assembly as it actually comes in a square box. First impressions when switching in on was how surprisingly powerful it is for a 1400watt motor. You have to pull back slightly on the handles to stop it racing away. Pulling it backwards, the cultivator's rotating blades dig deeper into the ground causing some ridging and it takes a lot more effort. You end up with a more even surface moving forwards. I have stoney ground and this causes it to bounce and bob around a bit when it hits any stones and also if the ground is compact and dry. One other thing is that it will chop up most weeds although any stringy weeds will wrap around the spinning shaft. It took me 10 to 15 minutes to remove weeds and soil from the moving parts when I had finshed. Overall it does a good job and I can recommend it.

A tiller the Huns would have fought for!!!!
I have just finished tilling an area roughly 30 feet by 12 feet. Although it was worked as a vegetable patch till the middle of last year it has stood idle over the winter had become very compacted. Despite the ground being quite wet and in places containing clay, the tiller made light work of breaking up the soil into a relatively fine tilth. It was quiet in operation and a real joy to use. It looks robustly made so I am hopeful it will give years of service. As regards safety, it is fitted with a very efficient braking device that brings the tines to a dead stop the instant you release your grip from the trigger like on off switch. It is a lot lighter than your average petrol driven tiller but is keen to get dug in. It surprised me with the ease with which it broke up the ground. Can't wait to use it again!! I have added picture of the job almost complete.

Simpler to use than the petrol but not as effective in clay soil
Tickles the surface rather than digs and bouncedFine for what I need but if you have a job that requires more power then not this machine

Worked well for a few minutes!
When this machine worked it was great only problem was it worked for a few minutes! Engine still run though blades did not turn. Had to wait over a week for the order to arrive and it was packaged for return within 30 minutes of delivery. Cannot recommend as I see others have had similar problems.

Powerful and good value.
This is a magnificent beast of a machine. It is powerful and does pull away a bit when you start it, so a shortish ‘to and fro’ movement is best rather than trying to walk up and down. It chops through tough rooty ground quite happily but you will have to stop to unwind chopped roots that get caught around the blades. I did not find it to be noisy. It was easy to put together.

I am really pleased with this
I am really pleased with this! We have a big allotment size veg patch and for years I have hired a petrol rotovator/tiller at around £50 a time. This did the job really well with a good tilth. It takes a bit of getting used to in that the digging is when you pull back the machine rather than fwd motion, and initially it's so powerful it can run away with you fwds. I can no longer manage a heavy petrol machine - this is light and I will no longer have to rely on help to get it done. Plus I can use it when I want, and in 2 seasons it will have paid for itself! It really is a powerful little machine and I'd recommend it to anyone and am really pleased we decided to buy it!Plus it arrived in 2 days - excellent!

An otherwise good machine that pops fuses too often
I bought this for rotorvating and tilling small areas of soil/garden, which it does well. The electrical flex is lengthy, the machine is easily assembled, not too heavy and quite powerful when you get the technique right (i tend to pull it backwards once I've made an impact on the top of the soil or grass). However, it has one big drawback, which I suspect is a known fault: it just cut out without warning after a couple of hours non-continuous use and wouldn't restart. I did the obvious and checked the plug fuse, which had blown. I replaced it with a new 13A fuse and it started for a split second and stopped again. I replaced it with another new 13A fuse and it did its job for the rest of the afternoon. However, there is clearly an issue here. This machine shouldn't pop fuses all the time so I'd be interested in hearing from the supplier/manufacturer about this. This would have been a 5 star review but for the fusing issue.

Most fun I have in ages in the gaarden
When I purchased this tool i thought it will be ok but as I only had about 45m2 of garden to turn over for re-planting I did not want to spend a lot of money so i figured it will do.I thought i would have to go over the soil a few times gently to do the job but thats would be fine.but when i started using it i thought wow what an animal no stopping it i just buzzed through the soil absolutly unberliveble much better that I expected weel worth the money it was so good that I am now looking to do my other lawns and re-lay them too not only does it do the job its also fun.
