Beautiful machine, makes great coffee too
Got it for $100 off during a Prime sale so that helped make my decision to try it. It’s as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. Easy to use and easy to clean. Fairly fast. Good tasting coffee. Maybe not quite as good tasting as my Kitchen Aid Syphon pot which self destructed after about 2 years. Hard plastic seals cracked and fell apart. Also was hard to clean. The trade off of a very slight taste difference is worth it for the ease of cleaning the Mocha master.

Worth the splurge (when on sale!)
I have had my Moccamaster coffee maker for a little over 6 months and have used nearly daily. I loveeee it. Yes, the gorgeous and industrial aesthetics of this coffee maker had it at the top of my wishlist for a long time but the color options, sale price and excellent reviews are what made me pull the trigger. It was on sale for 250 (& I applied a 100 dollar gift card) when I purchased. Therefore, I have often asked myself if it is worth the price tag. I think it is worth the sale price of $250. I personally just can’t get behind spending more than that on a coffee maker. However, it makes excellent coffee (my fav maker I’ve ever had) and between brewing my favorite coffee and it being a splurge I have barely gotten coffee out at all this year. I prefer my home coffee above all now, so that alone has made the price tag worth it. Lastly, there is no denying it’s a statement piece and can make a kitchen. For example, I got the peppercorn yellow and it makes my kitchen/ studio apartment! Everyone compliments it & it gives an industrial, clean, masculine vibe which is what I wanted. Also, I think you could go with the pale yellow to complete a cottage core room or even to suit a retro kitchen and/ or silver/ white for clean, modern, serious bistro vibes, etc. Endless options, but I really loved getting to choose a color! Lastly, it just has a great feel, is intuitive for any OG coffee pot folks who have never liked pods, and is easy to clean!

The best. Hands down.
I love coffee. My wife loves coffee. And over the years we’ve tried to love many, perhaps dozens of coffee makers. The cuisinart grind n’ brew, the oxo smart pour over. Mr coffee, Hamilton beech more cuisinart. Vac pots, French presses the list goes on. We didn’t discriminate. Some were ok for a while. Some awful right away. None lasted very long (and 3 weeks in the longevity jury is out on the Moca master too) the last 4 or 5 machines, I already had my eye on the moccamaster, but couldn’t bring myself to cross the 300USD rubicon on a coffee machine. How good could it be really right? After our last machine died at the beginning of April (the entirely mediocre Cuisineart pour over) we went for it. An orange Mocamaster KVBG. There’s no going back. It’s the best coffee machine I’ve ever had. By a wide margin. 1) the coffee is hot. Like really hot. Our last machine didn’t break 180F when brewing. This machine is consistently 201F (we are around 200ft above sea level if that matters to you), it’s also relatedly strong and flavorful. 2) it brews quickly and quietly. The machine brews 10 cups in under 4 minutes it’s less than half the time our prior machine took. 3) the coffee stays really hot: the heating plate is running on its a separate heating element and circuit from the brewer heating element and both are very powerful. Coffee is held around 180 for 2 hours 4) this is one I wouldn’t have thought much about but it’s not unimportant. There is a very limited amount of plastic contacting the hot water or coffee. The heater body is metal. Heating elements are copper, the hoses are silicone and the brew head is stainless steel. The only meaningful contact with plastic is when the hot coffee enters the carafe (the cover is plastic). This is a major improvement over every other machine I’ve ever used. Which had aluminum heating coils inside plastic heater tanks, plastic spray heads etc. 5) the aesthetic. It’s not retro. It never changed. It’s unreformed. It is a big Orange middle finger from the 1970s sitting on your kitchen counter. There is no WiFi. There is no app. There’s not a clock. Simply an on off switch (and a pot size adjuster which may or may not really do anything). I find it refreshing: last year when our washing machine broke it was a struggle to find one that wasn’t internet enabled. Why do I want an internet enable washing machine? So far I couldn’t be happier. Somehow it feels like a good value for the 350USD (as of April 23). If you’re on the fence. I’d go for it. You won’t look back.

Rota y Sucia - Broken and Dirty
The product came damaged! It's a shame that after seeing so many reviews of this excellent product it comes this way. I gave myself the opportunity to make such a big expense and I am very disappointed.

Excelente Compra
No solo es bonita, veloz y fácil de usar. Lo más importantes es el excelente café que se obtiene.

Great simple coffee maker
Noticeably improved coffee flavor and very consistent. The retro green color is a bonus. Brews my two cups very quickly (3minutes). Happy with my purchase

Consistently the best coffee everyday
Our grind and brew machine died on us and so we started using a French press and/or Areo press. Both options worked fine, but I like to make a pot in the morning so my wife can have a cup, and I can take the rest to work in a thermos.I started watching reviews on drip coffee makers and came across this unit. Everything about it was appealing.-THE LOOK- Aesthetically, it's stunning. Timeless, classic look. It's very clean, the textured finish looks very durable, doesn't finger print, and the color choices are excellent. (I wanted the pistachio color but once I pulled the trigger couldn't wait for it to be shipped so opted for my second choice). While brewing it looks neat as the water bubbles up the center column and into the outlet.-THE BREWING OPTIONS- Very basic controls, but the half pot select allows you to not only brew a half pot, but modifies blooming duration. From there the sky is the limit with grind options and strength without all the buttons and programming. It's also pretty fast- full pot in 6 minutes.-THE TASTE- I've had it 5 days and have made 7-8 pots... It's the best tasting coffee (obviously the beans, grind and everything can make the difference... but when I have a Tim Hortons or Starbucks it's just not the same) and I drink black coffee.-THE DESIGN- If it ain't broke... this design has been around for 50 years and is hand made in the Netherlands and comes with a 5 year warranty. It's not ground breaking but that's the point. Keep it simple. Quality parts, copper heating element, and separate elements for water heating and the carafe. The removable water outlet arm is a nice touch if it gets a fingerprint on it or if your need to clean- simply pop off.-THE PRICE- Ok, so this is super expensive for "just a coffee brewer" but personally I'd rather spend big money on a quality piece that has service able parts, rather than a machine 1/3 the price that may only last 2-4 years. This is a lifetime machine if cared for. Personally I drink at least 3 large black coffees/ day. Starbucks dark roast black is $4.00 CAD. It'll pay for itself in no time.-THE ONLY NEGATIVE- The glass carafe seems really fragile and thin. I'm paranoid it will break. I do not allow anyone to operate my machine as I'm scared they wouldn't be as careful as I when I rinse it.So if you buy pre ground coffee and want an easy pot of coffee, or like to grind fresh and experiment in grams per liter, ground size etc... but must have the best- buy this.
